The Ranger Tugs R-29 CB (Command Bridge) offers all of the innovative features that we’ve incorporated into the beautifully designed R-29 S but also adds the comfort, convenience, and excitement of a command bridge. The new command bridge features seating for four and a full suite of electronic controls including VHF, bow & stern thruster controls, Volvo engine controls, spotlight remote, lighted compass, and optional Garmin autopilot and Navigation system. Access to the bridge is achieved by climbing the teak steps in the aft cockpit area. On the bridge you’ll also find convenient grab rails for safety, 12v power, cupholders, and weatherproof speakers.
The more modern styling of the new Ranger Tugs R-29 CB features a curved front window and an overhead glass atrium that provides exceptional visibility from the helm station and salon area. An ingenious aft cockpit seating arrangement includes a reversible seat, port and starboard jump seats and a teak table for outside dining. The opening cabin bulkhead with reversible seat also provides additional cockpit seating while bringing the outside-in.
The Ranger Tugs R-29 CB can accommodate up to six adults on three separate berths, including the forward island berth with en-suite head. The R-29 is powered by a fuel efficient 320 HP Volvo Inboard Diesel engine that is located completely outside of the cabin for quiet cruising. Stern and bow thrusters with wireless remote make docking exceptionally easy.
The Ranger 29 CB can sleep 6 adults in three berths. The owner's stateroom forward features a pullman berth offset to port with room to walk-around to starboard and draw storage beneath. The enclosed ensuite head features a glass vessel bowl, a Tecma electric head, a shower and an opaque skylight allowing privacy while flooding the area with natural light. Aft to port is a built-in cabinet with an articulating flatscreen television and a built-in Dometic wine cooler.
Moving aft, stepping up to the pilothouse, a single crew seat to port with a folding desk can hinge forward to extend the galley counter space, while to starboard is the helm station with double helm seat, which can also face forward or aft towards the dinette.
Immediately aft of the helm station, on the starboard side is the convertible dinette with an ingenious reversible aft seat and opening glass bulkhead that provides additional cockpit seating and brings the outside in. Recessed above the dinette is a folding flat-screen television. Beneath the dinette is the mid-ship stateroom which features a privacy curtain and two hull ports, providing a sense of space and natural light.
To port is a generous linear galley with a solid surface counter, a two burner Force 10 stove with oven, a single, deep, stainless-steel sink and an under-counter Nova-Kool refrigerator and Muave microwave.
The atrium skylights over the helm station create a light, airy interior flooded with natural light, while indirect overhead and floor lighting creates a warm interior ambience at night.
The cockpit on the Ranger 29 is ingeniously laid out with folding jump seats to port and starboard, a reversible aft cockpit transom seat, a teak table and the added bonus of a freezer and the opening glass bulkhead, providing an additional aft facing seat and opening the cockpit up to the interior of the vessel. Courtesy lights provide illumination at night at the swim step and cockpit entry.

The spacious foredeck features three bow lockers, a Lewmar ProSeries 1000 electric anchor windlass with remote cockpit control and a recessed boarding ladder built into the bow sprit. A 22 lb claw anchor is mounted on a self-launching roller below the sprit.
Mounted on the cabin top is the Garmin xHD radar, a spotlight with remote control, a Majestic VHF-FM-UHF antenna and a Shakespeare VHF antenna. Aft of the command bridge seating is mounted a large 140 watt solar array.
Mounted on the port aft cockpit coaming is a Magma barbecue and a 2.5 hp four stroke Honda outboard. The transom features a gate for easy access, a swim step with grab rails and a rigid inflatable dinghy mounted on davits. A washdown connection and a cockpit shower round out the rich array of cockpit features. All exterior seating, instruments, and tables feature full canvas covers providing excellent protection from the elements when not in use.
INTERIOR HELM STATION:
The interior helm to starboard enjoys exceptional visibility due to the curved front window and overhead glass atrium. The electronics array features dual Garmin multi-function touch screen plotters with radar and AIS, a Garmin autopilot with remote, a Garmin VHF and the Volvo D4 engine display module. To starboard of the helm are the bow and stern thruster controls with remote, the single lever electronic shift and throttle controls and the Lenco trim tab controls.
The R-29 is powered by a fuel efficient 320 HP Volvo Inboard Diesel engine that is located completely outside of the cabin for quiet cruising. Standard stern and bow thrusters with wireless remote make docking exceptionally easy. Steering is hydraulic and access to the immaculate engine space is provided by way of a large electric cockpit hatch. With just 79 hours, the engine is barely broken in and still looks like new. Lenco electric trim tabs allow for optimal performance in any conditions.
