Regarding Dorado:

The Dorado design makes it easy to access the engine and all moving parts. The hull design provides a seaworthy ride whether in rough waters or resting. With an extremely sharp entry, this is an extremely smooth, pound-free ride. It has a fairly flat trailing edge which provides stability at rest. The hull was originally designed back in the 1950's, specifically meant for fishing one of the prime Tarpon fishing spots in Florida at Boca Grande Pass. The Dorado 30 hull was co-designed by Navy Officer, Clarence Werebach, and a Boca Grande Pass regular, Lee Ward. To this day, that first Dorado-style hull still goes out every weekend to fish.
