Beskrivning
If you are looking for an affordable, head-turning Downeast-style vessel that is moderate in size, with a large, open cockpit and (enclosable) helm for entertaining and family outings, a stand-up cabin with an enclosed head for comfortable overnighting, recently repowered with a smooth, economical out-of-the-way single outboard, with serious get-up-and-go (30+) when you want it, and secure sea-keeping when you need it, take a look at Sarge. She was built semi-custom in New Hampshire for her current owner, for whom life changes are forcing a sad parting with what many of his friends call the “perfect boat.” You just might agree.
Ø 2021 Honda 225 hp, 3.6 liter, 4-stroke V-6 outboard, 3-blade SS prop—a workhorse for US Coast Guard. Quiet, responsive, quick to plane, efficient, and mounted on an Armstrong bracket with swim platform, tilts completely out of the water without infringing on the roomy cockpit. Maintained annually by the Honda dealer—records available.
Ø Outboard flushing hose in the transom locker for convenient flushing from the cockpit.
Ø Hard-chined hull for quick planing and fuel efficiency; sharp entry with Carolina-style raked and flared bow for a dry ride through chop; a long, shallow keel for directional stability at speed. Original green gelcoat.
Ø Easy 18-25 mph cruising speed, surprising acceleration (“leaps on-plane”); 30+ top speed.
Ø One-finger hydraulic steering—no torque steer—with mahogany rimmed steering wheel.
Ø Simrad 9” touch-screen chart-plotter/radar/depth sounder display (2018).
Ø Simrad 3G broadband radar—very low radiation and no dead zone near the boat (2018).
Ø Simrad DSC VHF radio with integral AIS receiver (2019) on NMEA 2000 network with plotter for emergency location.
Ø Tri-Lens radar reflector and electric horn for safety in fog.
Ø 110 gallons fuel. Estimated ½ GPH at 6 mph no-wake speed; estimated 8 GPH at 20-25 mph cruise for 300+ mile range. (YMMV)
Ø No thru-hulls or other holes below the waterline (except the transom bilge drain).
Ø Large, open, self-baling cockpit, and helm area with hardtop—the helm can be very open on nice days, but is protected from spray going through seas.
Ø Three-section windshield with opening center section for a breeze; 3 individually-switched wipers for rain and spray.
Ø Snap-on, roll-up, windowed Top Gun side curtains and zippered back curtains for privacy at anchor and shelter in weather.
Ø Two large cockpit storage boxes under swiveling helm and mate’s seats for fenders, lines, PFDs, etc.
Ø Stainless bow pulpit extends well aft for security going forward.
Ø Maintenance-free faux teak handrails on cabin-top and hardtop for further security. Genuine teak interior trim.
Ø Two coaming rod holders, cockpit rod rack, aft ensign socket, foredeck burgee socket.
Ø Movable cockpit steps from side-deck, mountable on port or starboard side.
Ø Cabin: V-berth with insert, 4” foam cushions, storage under and teak-trimmed shelves above, teak galley cabinet with sink and drawers, demand-pump pressurized fresh water.
Ø Enclosed head with Sealand 711 ceramic bowl and integral holding tank and deck pump-out. Runs off pressurized fresh water system for simple, odor-free operation with minimal plumbing. (Pull the pedal up for water, push down to flush—period.)
Ø Solar-powered cabin exhaust vent to minimize night condensation and mildew.
Ø Four opening ports with screens, and opening overhead hatch/skylight with removable screen.
Ø 20 gallon fresh water tank with electric demand pump for galley and head.
Ø 22 lb. Delta anchor with 200’ chain/rope rode on bow roller with Lewmar electric windlass operated from the helm. Aluminum Fortress FX-11 secondary anchor in bag with 200’ chain/rope rode.
Ø Two automatic bilge pumps with override switches.
Ø Dual batteries with selector switch; 12 fused circuits on switch panels at helm and in cabin. 12V outlets at helm and galley.
Ø LED anchor and cabin lights. (Incandescent side running lights.)
Ø Eight Herreshoff-style open-throat cleats, including two midship cleats on each side.
Ø Fiberglass/composite workboat construction. Extensive use of Nida Core honey-comb composite coring for all decks, cabin, hull grid system, and transom—light, solid, and rot-proof.
