This 2006 44' Sea Ray Sundancer is an exceptionally well-maintained example of a hugely popular cruiser. Packed with features designed to keep you and your guests comfortable whether you're out for the day or on an extended overnighter, this boat is sure to please.
It's stunning to step aboard a 16 year old boat that looks like it’s brand new, but this particular 44 Sundancer will exceed the expectations of the most discerning buyers and their surveyor.
Search-axis: motoryacht, express
The 44 Sundancer set the gold standard for express yacht styling and luxury in 2006. Contoured lines and dramatic styling reveal a refined and powerful presence that will take your breath away. Graceful lines and a distinctive bow provide improved function with enhanced visibility. Beneath her appealing style are the technological advancements and conveniences you've come to expect from Sea Ray.
Inside, her broad 14’ wide beam contributes to a beautiful and spacious ambiance and permits two luxurious staterooms with a two-head floorplan boasting a large separate shower in the master stateroom. Her interior has an impressive blend of high gloss cherry joinery, ultraleather seating, and designer fabrics. Privacy doors (not curtains) separate both staterooms from the salon, and the Sundancer’s full-service galley includes extensive storage and refrigerator and a freezer under the lovely Corian counters.
Even though the Sundancer design emphasizes the above decks spaces, the cabin areas are spacious and impressively detailed.
You enter the salon through a massive, locking hatch door that slides away, and down five beautifully finished cherry & holly wood steps with carpeted risers and footlights. The entrance to ‘Knot Easy Being Me’ is impressive, with well-appointed fittings and furnishings and a luxurious feel.
Immediately to port is the electrical panel and ahead, four overhead lockers, port lights with blinds and a big settee with a high/low table for relaxing or dining indoors. The reverse cycle heating and air-conditioning system means that even off-season, you'll be comfortable onboard this boat. The seat pulls out to make a double berth and there are two movable seats as well, again with storage underneath.
Opposite, is the galley with a Corian counter that looks just like granite, a two-burner stove, lockers with built-in glasses racks, trash locker in the countertop, a Panasonic convection microwave, separate refrigerator/freezer, three drawers, four lockers and a liquor cabinet. A large flat screen TV on electric lift is located above the galley for viewing while you are seated on the settee. The galley is attractive, with all of the necessary appliances, ample storage and decent counter space. Noteworthy are the separate fridge and freezer. These, in addition to the cockpit fridge, offer plenty of room for food and beverages for a comfortable trip.
The forward master stateroom features a full-size pedestal bed with innerspring mattress, pillows, sheets and attractive bed spread. The hanging lockers include lights and there's small item storage space around the sides. Above the bed is an good-sized hatch for light and ventilation. The master stateroom also includes a DVD player, flat screen TV and, of course, air conditioning outlets to keep you comfortable.
The master head is divided port and starboard which is a smart use of space, and keeps the mess to a minimum. To port is the head that includes a sink in a vanity, porthole, air-conditioning outlets, power, three-way mirrors and an MSD. Across the companionway on the starboard side, is a separate shower stall with a porthole, door curtains, air-conditioning vents and a seat.
The aft cabin enjoys a separate head with opening porthole, MSD, shower and a seat. This is spacious and well appointed. The aft cabin has another flat screen television and DVD player to make it a cozy den or guest bedroom, with L-shaped sofa that pulls out to a queen berth.
The central vacuum system is also located in here, and also ample storage for your children or guests. Other creature features include a pullout boarding ladder and a transom bin for storage of fenders, lines and the shore power cords. A handheld shower is also included: a luxurious feature after taking a dip in the gulf.
The 44 Sundancer is built on a deep-V hull with prop pockets, underwater exhaust system and a wide 14-foot beam.
The boat has sleeping accommodations for up to six, and outside areas for sun worshipers on the large bow sun-pads and the spacious cockpit with U-shaped lounge seating and table. An extended swim platform with integrated ladder allows you to spend time both in and on the water.
In the spacious, air-conditioned cockpit, a flip-up bolster seat is standard at the helm, and the entire cockpit sole can be raised at the push of a button for engine access.

Your first impression when stepping aboard is that this boat is brand new. Nothing shows use or wear. She is in astonishing condition, inside and out. The current owners have used her sparsely, and only for easy day cruises in the seven years they’ve owned her and have never slept a single night on the boat since 2015. The fixtures and appliances look new and the microwave hasn’t even ever been used.
If you’re looking at new, or nearly new cruisers, you must take a look at this 44 Sundancer to see how much boat your money can buy.
The icing on the cake is that the moorage in Venice is transferrable, pending marina management’s approval. Call the Broker for details.
