The Sakonnet 23' with her beautiful canoe stern is a good looking daysailer from any angle. This well designed daysailer (Joel White) offers good speed and comfortable seating for four with minimum effort. She is simple to sail and with her shallow draft and centerboard.
The Sakonnet 23 is a simple boat to sail and enjoy. With a moderate sail area - displacement ratio, narrow 6-foot beam, and light displacement, the Sakonnet easily reaches hull speed in light as well as moderate winds. Her low center of gravity combined with a 920-pound bulbed keel and ballasted centerboard ensure a safe, comfortable sail. Shoal draft of 22 inches (with the centerboard up) makes her well suited for gunkholing.
Refreshingly handsome from all angles, super-swift, and with just enough teak trim to accent her low, distinctive lines, this distinctive double-ender is ideal for the sailor who wants a roomy, inshore daysailer for weekend and evening sailing with family and friends.
Well equipped with new Doyle sails in 2020 (Main and Jib), Teak Seats and floor boards, bronze fittings fore and aft, and a new Torquedo 2.0 inboard electric motor with folding prop. and in excellent condition.
