The condition or level of safety equipment on board is not to be negotiated on following survey. It is likely to be listed by most surveyors but is not structural or an integral working part of the vessel and is not to be used to further negotiate the price down after survey. We strongly suggest that for your own personal safety that when purchasing a yacht you provide new safety equipment rather than relying on second hand gear.
Should you become the new owner of this yacht then the responsibility to re-register or update official bodies for items such as EPIRB, VHF, MMSI or AIS becomes yours.
Test report by ‘Duncan Kent’ available on request from March 2016.
She was built in 1999 and purchased by a British owner in collaboration with Kiriakoulis who chartered her for five years before handing her over in excellent condition, as per their standard agreement.
At that point that owner formed a syndicate the following year with 5 members – Originally located in Corfu but soon moved to Lefkas where she has been based ever since, wintering in Aktio and Ionion Marinas. She has never left Greek waters.
Members have changed regularly over the years, mostly because of the retiring members’ age or desire to sail in other waters. The syndicate was reduced to three members during the pandemic.
She has once sailed around the Peloponnese and regularly sails between Lefkas and Corfu, around the Inland Sea, across to Cephalonia and the Gulf of Patras.
A short summary of various work and repairs over the years can be provided on request as full disclosure for the sale.
