Sloop rigged with an in-mast furling main, manual furling headsail, and the perfect combination of electric and manual winches, Good Life is fantastically equipped for short-handed, simple sailing. The central cockpit features everything you need within the touch of a button, making her perfect for sailing with family and friends. From the outset it is evident that a great amount of care has been taken to keep Good Life in great condition, from the recently renovated teak, re-antifouled hull, immaculately presented tender, and newly installed sprayhood. In running, she has recently had her sail drive gasket changed, with both the engine and sail drive serviced, and a new complete set of batteries have recently been installed. Longer trips onboard are made even more effortless with the additional solar panel pack and conveniently installed plug-in generator.
Below deck, Good Life has six spacious berths in three cabins, plus an extremely convenient workshop room, all of which are beautifully finished in contemporary teak, with teak and holly soles. Lovingly cared for, she is freshly presented with new upholstery throughout and new mattresses to all sea berths. The saloon, which is light and airy, features copious amounts of additional storage and wrap-around seating that can accommodate a host of guests with ease, made even more comfortable with the reverse cycle air conditioning. Whilst the galley is perfectly equipped and has everything simply laid out in a very practical sea-going layout also.

1 . CONSTRUCTION
HULL NUMBER - Oyster 45/05.
HULL CONSTRUCTION - Laid-up GRP, single skin with structural stringers and floors to Lloyd’s approved design specification.
On the hull the gelcoat and three outer laminates incorporate a special Isophthalic resin and powder-bound mats.
HULL FINISH - ‘White’ hull with cove line and double boot top lines in standard Oyster ‘blue.’
Hull cleaned and given three coats of antifouling (2021).
Antifouled with an extra layer, colour ‘Blue’ (2022).
NB. Hull fully dried in 2010, slurry blasted below waterline. Taken indoors at Fox’s Marina, and professionally epoxied below the water line.
DECK CONSTRUCTION - Moulded in GRP with balsa core.
In load-bearing areas the core is replaced with plywood for additional strength, and fittings have aluminium backing plates.

2 . DECK LAYOUT AND EQUIPMENT
ANCHOR - 26kg Manson Supreme oversized main anchor that stows in the stemhead, with 80m chain that self-stows in the locker beneath.
10kg (22lb) Fortress kedge anchor, with 3.8m (12’) chain, plus 50m (164’) of Octoplait warp.
Spare 22kg (45lb) CQR anchor with 60m (197’) of 10mm short-link, calibrated galvanised chain.
Locker within the foredeck for anchor chain stowage, accessed via a pair of hinged lids fitted with a positive catch. This locker drains directly overboard and has a stainless steel U-bolt fitted for attachment of the chain’s bitter end.
WINDLASS - Lewmar V-1000 (12V) vertical type electric windlass, complete with capstan and gypsy, so it can be used to handle chain or warp.
Controlled by adjacent deck mounted foot switches (new 2022).
Remote anchor control at helm.
DECK ACCESS - Pair of stainless steel midship gateway stanchions, and side gates for boarding.

4 . INTERIOR
GENERAL - Six berths in three cabins. Additionally, the saloon settees can provide two extra occasional berths. Two head/shower compartments.
All sea berths have fitted lee screens with lanyards to through-bolted eyes.
Interior joinery finished in teak.
Designed to be modern and coordinated, whilst remaining practical and durable at sea. Essential features include sculpted fiddles and grab rails, ‘shadow-gap’ joints between panels, and solid shaped teak and stainless steel grab handles.
Lockers are fitted with teak shelves and fiddles, as appropriate.
Locker doors are veneered on both sides, flush-fitting, and fitted with Oyster custom catches.
All drawers use metal runners that give extremely smooth operation.
Door furniture by Timage, with chrome hinges and handles.
Cabin sole in teak and holly.
All horizontal galley work surfaces are covered with ‘Champagne Haze Stucco’ Formica laminate, incorporating fiddles all round.
Each head compartment is fitted out with a ‘white’ washbasin set into a flat solid ‘Almondine’ Avonite surface. Hansgrohe quality mixer taps and thermostatic shower controls, with matching towel rail, toothbrush holder, and toilet roll holder in each head.
Headlining in off-white vinyl, which is also used to cover the deck saloon sides.
Upholstery in ‘grey/blue’ Alcantara to saloon and Owner’s stateroom (new 2021).
New mattresses to all berths, with ‘black check’ covers (2021).
Curtain system to windows in all cabins, colour ‘Cream’.
Oceanair blinds to deck hatches.

FORWARD DOUBLE CABIN - Forward double V-berth in the bows, provided with an infill piece and cushion.

FORWARD SHARED HEAD/SHOWER AND DAY HEAD -
Forward head compartment to starboard, shared by the forward cabins that also doubles as a day head, and is accessed from the forward passageway.
Incorporating a marine toilet, washbasin, and shower area with curtain and teak planked Naval grating.
Lockers for stowage of wash bags and cleaning materials.
Mirror.
SALOON - Access to the saloon from the cockpit is via a set of teak companionway steps, which are shaped, and fitted with stainless steel hand rails.
The deck saloon is extremely light and airy with seven windows, the forward outboard pair of which open.
Featuring an L-shaped settee area and saloon table to port.
To starboard a two-seater settee extends beneath the forward countertop into a ‘trotter box,’ forming a useful sea berth with lee cloth.
The table, which forms an occasional table when closed, has a matching fold-over leaf, supported by a removable strut that allows both sides of the saloon seating to be used for dining.
Mounted on a substantial base, there is bottle stowage and a single drawer incorporated into the table pedestal.

Starboard shelf outboard of the settee fitted out as a bookcase.
NAVIGATION AREA - Forward facing chart table at the aft starboard end of the saloon, which can accommodate a half-folded full size Admiralty chart.
The chart table is customised around the strategically sited electronic and navigational equipment, which is flush-mounted in a ‘black’ leather-look fascia.
Drawers beneath, and stowage provision for charts.
Bookshelf for navigational books and almanacs.
WORKSHOP/STOWAGE AREA - Accessed via a door aft of the navigation area is the workshop/stowage area.
Fitted with six hooks for hanging oilskins.
GALLEY - Situated to port, with cooker and sinks set into work surfaces on opposing sides that makes for a very practical sea-going layout, combined with excellent storage space.
Rubbish bin fitted inside locker door by sinks.

SINKS - Twin stainless steel sinks.
COOKER/HOB - Gimballed Force 10 cooker in stainless steel with four-burners, grill, and oven, all protected by a flame failure gas cut-off device. The cooker incorporates an electric ignition system. Manual gas shut-off valve fitted adjacent to cooker.
Fiddle rail fitted around top of cooker, which incorporates a pair of adjustable clamping pan holders. Harbour lock and cooker crash bar.
REFRIGERATOR - Refrigerator with front opening stainless steel door, incorporating fiddled wire shelves, and fitted with a Frigomatic DC (water-cooled) refrigeration unit.
ENGINE SPACE - The engine is located under the cockpit and galley sinks, where the engine space is fully insulated using a foam material with lead screen.
Access for inspection and maintenance is via a large hinged door in the starboard utility workshop, and a removable panel to port beneath the galley sinks.
All access panels are fitted with rubber sealing strips to minimise noise and are secured by flush-fitting closers with fold-down handles.

OWNER’S STATEROOM - Featuring a double berth offset from centreline.
Curved settee and dressing table.

Stop/start buttons fitted on port side of steering pedestal. Throttle and gear controls are Whitlock Morse type, with single lever installed on the starboard side of pedestal.

ROPE CUTTER - Ambassador rope cutter on shaft.
ALTERNATORS - 60A/14V engine alternator.
Second 70A/12V alternator, including engine power take-off.

7. TANKAGE AND PLUMBING
FUEL - 454 litres approximately (100 Imp gallons/120 US gallons) in one GRP tank, installed under the starboard deck saloon floor.
Racor 500FG fuel filter and water separator system.
WATER - 636 litres approximately (140 Imp gallons/168 US gallons) in one GRP tank, installed under the port deck saloon floor.
TANK TENDER GAUGES - Tank Tender monitoring system for fuel and water tanks.
Backup dipsticks.
HOT WATER - From an insulated approximately 34 litres (7 Imp gallons/9 US gallons) Grade 1 copper tank, heated by the engine’s heat exchanger, or by thermostatically controlled
220V, 2kW immersion heater element powered by dockside power.
PRESSURISED HOT AND COLD WATER SYSTEM -
Hot and cold freshwater system based on a Par CW83 water pump installed with a pressure accumulator tank, pipework and fittings.
All plumbing removed and replaced with new quality pipework (2021).
HOLDING TANKS - One stainless steel toilet holding tank is installed for the aft head, and plumbed for gravity discharge, with additional ability to pump out from deck.
Tank is fitted with a Wema electric capacity gauge.
The forward toilet discharges directly overboard.
GREY WATER - Each head compartment is fitted with an electric Whale ‘Gulper’ pump, which is operated by a rubber toggle switch, and evacuates water from the washbasin and shower directly overboard.
The galley sinks discharge directly overboard by gravity, via a seacock.
SEACOCKS - All seacocks, except for the engine exhaust, are quarter-turn ball valves of dezincified brass with bronze through-hull fittings.
8 . ELECTRICS
SHIP ’S SUPPLY - 12V.
RING MAIN - 220V AC ring main with three double, 3-pin Clipsal outlet sockets located as appropriate within the layout.
Additional double socket at chart table.
OTHER ELECTRICAL SOCKETS - 12V cigar type (10A maximum) socket at chart table.
BATTERIES - Domestic: Six Trojan T-105 (6V) deep-cycle batteries (new 2021).
Engine start: 12V (90Ah) battery dedicated to engine starting (new 2022).
All batteries are positively secured against inversion in the event of a knockdown.
BATTERY MANAGEMENT - Link 2000 battery management system and control panel.
