It is not often that one becomes available. "Shoe Fly Pie" has been well maintained and is ready to sail away. The beautiful cherry joinery, solid frame woodwork and open design provide a warm, nautical atmosphere. The Dehler 37CR is a fast, seaworthy cruiser with spacious accommodations suitable for living aboard and coastal cruising.
In the forepeak, the owner’s cabin features a large double berth on centerline with ample storage beneath berths, shelves outboard, hanging lockers. .
Continuing aft, the main salon features a comfortable, U-shaped settee to starboard with a large hanging table that folds out to seat six. Ample storage is provided with seat back lockers, shelves and cabinets outboard. The dinette converts to a large double berth when necessary for those extra crew or guests.
Conveniently located across from the dinette, the port side galley includes a 3-burner propane stove with oven, 12-volt front loading refrigeration, and a 2-bowl stainless steel sink. The wide-open counter with convenient storage above and below makes meal preparation a pleasure without being isolated from your guests.
At the bottom of the companionway to starboard, a fully equipped nav station includes a large chart table with a fold-away chair, stowage for charts and books. Aft of and adjacent to the nav station is an extremely spacious head and storage area.
In the port quarter, the enclosed aft cabin offers a roomy double berth, ample storage, and lockers for guests or crew.
Aluminum double spreader, deck stepped mast with 7/8 fractional rig and Dehler’s Maindrop System combine with a full batten mainsail and roller furling jib for easy handling and performance.
The Dehler 37 lends itself to short-handed sailing whether you are cruising or racing. Self-tailing winches on the coach roof, Spinlock stoppers, end-of-boom main sheeting, electric primary winches and a large wheel all lend themselves to making the Dehler easy and fun to sail. The ocean-going cockpit enhanced with teak non-skid seat inserts has plenty of room for entertaining while the unique hideaway companionway boards provide protection and easy access to below decks.
White GRP hull with molded in waterline. The Dehler 37 hull was made using a manual lamination process under German Lloyd supervision. Supporting bulkheads are joined to the hull and deck. Integral longitudinal and transverse reinforcements lend the hull strength. The floor beams laminated while still in the mold to create a homogenous structure. The external cast-iron fin keel is fastened to the hull by stainless steel bolts into the laminated-in steel floor beams.
