1987 Hunter 26.58m

Warren Luhrs and the Hunter design group created this series of Hunters starting with the 23.5. The 26.5 was third up in lineage of this series and emphasis on performance was evident with a sleeker look than previous Hunters. A wind tunnel-tested bulb wing keel, fractional rig and inboard spade rudder all add to her performance enhancement. The cockpit is spacious, formed for comfort and has a walk through transom for easy access to the water via a ladder or to your dinghy. The keel has less draft allowing you to sail in skinnier water so you can reach otherwise inaccessible cruising areas. She can accommodate up to 6 between the double forepeak and double quarter berths and main salon settees. The galley is quite functional, with SS sink, fresh water, cooler, stove & good counter space. The dinette table lets you eat family style or play games. There is a sea hood that lifts for more headroom. The interior is nicely finished with fabric cushions, teak and holly sole, teak bulkheads and cabinetry. The marine head has never been used.  This is a fresh water boat..
