The Irwin 40 Citation Mk II combines comfort with speed. Generous use of teak is made throughout the spacious white interior, from the bureau fiddle fronts to the rich ceiling panels.
The forward cabin provides a roomy V-berth, a bureau and hanging locker to insure plenty of convenient stowage.
The head compartment features a standard marine head, a vanity, stainless steel wash basin with mirror and pull out shower.
Moving aft to the main salon, a U-shaped settee berth is situated to starboard, along with a convenient and large folding table. Table will lower and settee berth becomes a large bed .To port is another settee berth, creating a luxurious atmosphere of comfort.
Meal preparation is a pleasure in the spacious galley, which comes complete with a 2-burner propane stove and oven. A top loading 110 volts fridge, stainless steel double sink and plenty of storage complete the picture.
The attractive functional interior is completed by a handsome navigation station. A hinged teak chart table, quarter berth and stowage provide agreeable locker accommodations for the navigator.

The sails plan is simple and will steer the boat with the rudder merely guiding it along its path Solo sailing is a joy as it is common to log 30 miles legs with the yacht sailing straight with very little requirement of the steering wheel . Having the genoa on a furler and all winches near the wheel means that you never walk the deck and stay safely in the cockpit when sailing by yourself.
This yacht draws 4.25 ft with the center board up and 7.00 when down . With its genoa furled to 120% and the center board down, she will point better into the wind then most modern yachts and will not roll when sailing downwind with the center board up. And the center board allows easy access to shallow waters and docking at marinas subjected to low tides . Perfect boat to cruise the Bermudas or Key West !
