The interior is functional and comfortable for numerous adults. Her large windows are great for sightseeing and enjoying nature’s beauty from all angles. The window seals were replaced in 2022. From the cockpit, walk through the weather tight door and you are met with ample bench seating on both port and starboard. There are storage cubbies beneath the benches for extra shoes, lunches, or other gear. Forward on port is a Dickinson Newport oil stove keeping everyone toasty warm on those cold fishing mornings. Next you have a spacious head with a salt water flush 12v electric commode/macerated with electro San waste system. There is lots of knee room for your taller passengers. Across the companionway is a petite galley area with a large single basin sink and counter space. Put a hot plate, coffee pot or microwave here or leave it open for making sandwiches. Four generous drawers and a storage cabinet can be found below. A 30-gallon freshwater tank provides a water supply to last the entire day. Step up into the helm area. A co-captain’s chair means the captain can have a buddy keeping company while underway. The helm station has a starboard side access door to easily get to the side decks. This vessel also sleeps two adults in a v-berth.
Coming aboard this Delta is easily done through the walkthrough door on starboard. If deck space is what you are looking for, deck space is what you will find on this gal! In 2021, the non-skid on the decks was freshly done. The cockpit has numerous fishing features, including pole holders all around, a fillet table off the transom railing, and it is wired for four electric downriggers. She has a cockpit steering station, so the captain knows where the boat needs to be by remaining close to the fishing action. A partial cabin overhand gives the captain and others a place to quickly duck out of a sudden squall. Accessing the bow is easily done by her extremely wide side decks. These side decks are definitely wide enough for a bait boy to traverse back and forth past folks with their lines in. The wench mount from the house forward was added in 2021. When the day is done, this package also has a washdown system to clean away any mess. The outer hull on this Delta will be repaired and painted with two coats on the bottom, estimated to be completed by mid-May 2022.
Her power comes from her one 2003 450 horsepower Cummins 6CTA 8.3L diesel engine with 11,500 hours on it. She cruises at 10 knots at 2,000 rpm and has a top speed of 15 knots. Her single aluminum fuel tank holds 250 gallons of fuel and she utilizes about 10 gallons per hour, making her range a nice 250 miles between refuels. She has hydraulic steering with Morse cable controls and the steering lines were replaced in 2022. There is a Rule 2000 bilge pump in the engine room and a Rule bilge pump in the lazarette. When you need to anchor, you have a 50-pound Forfjord anchor on a drum-style hydraulic anchor winch with a hydraulic PTO 12v clutch. She also has 80 feet of chain and 500 feet of line.
Navigation electronics include her Comnav 1001 autopilot and a Furuno TZT9 MFD multi-function touchscreen GPS, plotter and depth sounder. She has a Furuno radar and a Furuno camera. Comnav is also at the aft station. For communications, you have a Standard Horizon gx1400 VHF. There is a view sonic rear station electronic display as well. When at the dock, you can plug this Delta into 30-amp shore power. She has a Sterling 40-amp battery bank charger, as well as an auxiliary Westerbeke 8kw diesel generator, new in 2022.
