Accommodations

Southern Cross is a classic cruiser with unique features throughout. Some work is needed to get this yacht back to great condition; however, there have been several major updates over the last few years.

The J-Shaped Galley is on the port side of the yacht after entering the cabin through the companionway. There is a double stainless steel sink that faces the aft bulkhead next to a top loading Dometic refrigerator and freezer. Against the port side of the galley is a gimballed FORCE10 three burner stove top and oven. An abundance of storage is available by drawers, cabinetry and outbound shelving.

Southern Cross' Navigation Station is across the galley integrated into the L-shaped dinette. There is storage beneath the desk along with a drawer and cubby below. The yacht's electrical panel is mounted to the overhead ceiling and there is shelving outbound against the port wall.

The Salon has an affluent appeal to the navigation station and galley. Equipped with a single settee to port and an L-shaped dinette to starboard, the outbound shelving to port can be converted into a pilot berth. There is a 24'' LG flat screen TV mounted to the forward bulkhead and additional cabinetry outside of the outbound shelving to starboard. Five port lights allow for lots of natural lighting and the wall and ceiling mounted teak stavings give the salon a beautiful aesthetic appeal.

The yacht's only Head is all the way forward and can be accessed by a door from the salon. The Raritan manual head is between counter space port and starboard. The stainless steel sink is to starboard and there is a built-in seat and shower against the aft starboard bulkhead with teak grate drainage. Ample storage is to port and starboard along with an open-faced locker forward with access to the anchor locker.

Aft of the work station is the Master Staterooom. The subtle intricacies of William Crealock's design is apparent throughout. The full sized berth to port can be converted to a queen with ample storage below the side of the berth. A long counter to starboard is equipped with a vanity and mirror. The cabin's hanging locker is to starboard as you enter the room and drawers, cabinetry, and cubbies surround the yacht's port, aft, and starboard walls with counter space above. Teal stavings are against a slanted sole to port, on the ceiling, and four circular port holes and a large deck hatch provide the room with natural lighting.
