|Modell||SCIARRELLI FAST CRUISER|
|Klass||Antik och klassisk|
The great Italian designer Carlo Sciarrelli kept a list of the boats he had designed and recognised since the first one, Amphitrite in 1960. This list, which took the name "The Strip" (« La Striscia « in italian ) because it kept getting longer, contains 138 designs of his recognised boats. Many others are replicas or boats of which a series was produced based on the same design in La Striscia. It is estimated that more than 500 boats designed by Sciarrelli have been built.
It is a source of pride for owners of boats designed by Sciarrelli to find their boat in 'La Striscia' because of the value of a recognised design and original construction.

Stryga is a wooden ketch built in mahogany laminate, Her design was featured in Sciarrelli's La Striscia with project number 25. She was designed in 1969 and built and launched in 1971 by Cantieri Marchi of Campalto-Venice, one of the shipyards with which Sciarrelli collaborated for a long time with great satisfaction.
The design, which was perfectly suited to the needs of the client, a major importer and timber dealer, was a wooden boat no larger than 13 metres, comfortable, balanced, high-performance and safe to sail even with a crew of just two. It was a gamble won by Sciarrelli, who wanted to prove that he could not only design racing boats, but also excellent fast cruising boats.
