.38 Special is an Irwin 38 with a keel / centerboard arrangement. The boat draws only 3'10" with the board up and will get you into shallow anchorages but with the board all the way down she draws 9'10" to help her sail well to windward!

ACCOMODATIONS

• Layout: The forward cabin has a large Vee-berth, an overhead hatch, reading lights and drawers for storage. The large head compartment is next aft to port with the hanging locker (now housing the AC) opposite. In the salon the dinette is to port with a straight settee on starboard. The forward facing nav station uses the head of the quarter berth for a seat and the galley has an ice box, a three burner stove and lots of storage along with a single stainless steel sink. The boat is cooled by a Marine King 16,000 btu AC
