The Xcruising yachts have been created with a distinctive hull design that includes deeper sections to provide a greater interior volume for accommodation, tanks and other essential cruising equipment, and a deeper V-shape midships and forward for improved heavy air handling. A medium to heavy displacement and high keel weight guarantees maximum stability, however, X-Yachts’ performance pedigree ensures that every Xc yacht is responsive and rapid in all conditions.
40th Anniversary Edition
Following extensive feedback from a large group of Xc owners as well as X-Yachts' experience over the last 10 years, 2019 will see the launch of the X-Yachts 40 Years Anniversary edition of the Xc Range. Today, the Xcruising line encompasses five models - Xc 35, Xc 38, Xc 42, Xc 45 and Xc 50 and are all based on the same principles - a moderate hull shape with increased displacement, allowing for larger engines, batteries, tanks and anchoring gear. They share deep sections, and a forward ‘V’ shape to minimize slamming and make for a comfortable motion when going through waves, either under power or sail. Designed for long-distance passages, the Xcruising line features exten-sive teak decking, and a wide choice of windscreen, sprayhood and bimini op-tions. The Anniversary Edition of the Xc’s builds upon the success of the Xcruising range with an updated specification implementing improvements from feedback gathered from a fleet of over 300 Xc yachts worldwide.
From this edition of the Xc’s and onwards, the Xc models are built using epoxy infusion in the hull. X-Yachts hulls are post-cured or “oven-baked” to improve structural properties of the composite. Epoxy resin has higher me-chanical and thermal stability than traditional polyester resins. Added value to this production method is weight reduction and increased stability.
Exterior upgrades include:
Vacuum-infused oven-baked epoxy hull
New optional jib self-tacker design
Optional composite bowsprit
New option for alternative synthetic teak, Flexiteek.

The Xc 35 hull is a composite construction, molded using 5-axis-milled female tooling. X-Yacht hulls are built using the latest construction technologies.
The hull is a full polyester resin/sandwich construction using vinylester resin system in outer skin layer, foam core with biaxial E-glass skins and local uni-directional reinforcements.
Solid, monolithic laminate is used in areas around the keel structure, rudder stock bearing, around each through hull fitting, sail drive, and optional thruster.
The hull has a five year warranty against osmosis.
All structural bulkheads securely bonded to hull and deck. All bulkheads of marine plywood in thicknesses between 16 and 20 mm.
At the forward end of the boat watertight bulkheads separate the anchor compartment and interior accommodation for safety and reassurance in the event of a collision.
The keel structure consists of a hot galvanized, high strength steel frame which forms an integral part of the hull structure. It is capable of absorbing loads from keel, mast and rig as well as shock loads in the event of grounding. Integrated limber holes to allow water to run to central keel bilge.
The keel structure also has an integrated single point center hoist for easy and safe lifting and launching.
The standard keel draft is a 1.90 m (light ship) cast iron fin and L-bulb, with low centre of gravity and comfortable sailing performance.
An optional shallow draft L-bulb keel of 1.60 m (light ship) is also available.
Each keel is encapsulated in layer of GRP and moulded in epoxy resin to designers keel section templates.
The keel is securely bolted to the structural steel keel frame with stainless steel bolts and faired with epoxy filler.
