As part of a new initiative at Young Yachts International Ltd, we will be marketing and representing boats we have designed and know intimately as a result.
EOS was a very unique and amazing, full carbon project. We not only designed EOS, but Greg Young was present at each critical stage of its construction and can testify to the quality and accuracy of the build process and outcomes. Over the construction period we came to know the owners very well and their philosophy for owning and using EOS is very well considered and needs to be understood. In many respects EOS is better than many professionally built projects..... In this case beauty really is more than skin deep.
There is a lot to learn about EOS. If you want to sail fast, safely and with the best equipment, I think it is a bargain given what it cost to build and what it can deliver. The potential has yet to be fully unlocked.... Please discuss with us this design and how we can adapt it further to meet your individual needs.
EOS is a truly state of the art performance catamaran, completed to the highest level of quality with the best possible materials. EOS is 100% carbon in every area of construction.
We have been proud to be part of this project, the German workmanship and accuracy of this build is simply outstanding, the best we have ever encountered anywhere. The design started as a progression from the TAG 60, but with all custom integration and wishes required by an experienced owner. 100% carbon everywhere.
This is a state of the art vessel and the first Young Yacht Design to feature a reverse or axe bow design. The hull shape is exceptionally fast, with low rocker, high water plane, plus lots of balanced buoyancy forward, fine waterlines and yet it is able to be pushed very hard into waves, to pitch much less than conventional designs and with its deep angled asymmetrical daggerboards, it will sail to windward and deliver to the helmsman a stunning performance.
The interior is reasonably modest yet features stunning forward views through vertical, opening windows; easy access everywhere, no hidden parts, strong, secure. Light air performance is very important and in this respect, the vessel features our trademark light air headsail configuration that sets it apart from other designs.

Saloon and Galley
The interior of EOS was designed by the owner to be minimal and have easy access to all systems. However we believe that if a new owner wished, there is room for improvement and in this regard we are standing by with ideas to change the interior layout and finishes as needed.
Currently the central raised saloon area offers seating and a carbon dining table, there is also a large TV the folds in the ceiling. The galley is equipped as follows:
Accommodation for up to 8 people.
The port hull is dedicated as the owners cabin with a queen bed aft and a dressing area with good storage and desk area midships. Forward is the spacious owners bathroom with twin hand-basins, carbon electric toilet, and a large shower compartment with glass doors.
The starboard hull has two guest cabins: a large queen bed cabin aft and twin single berths forward.
There is a guest toilet midships that doubles as the aft cabin bathroom.
Directly forward is the twin berth cabin with large bathroom forward.
In keeping with the owners long distance sailing needs the internal navigation station features a double berth.
