Based on the Tammie Norrie dinghy designed by Iain Oughtred, "Bramble" is an unusual and attractive vessel which is ideally suited to use on lochs, lakes and inland waterways. Home completed in 2017 to great looking standard of finish with white hull and varnished wood elsewhere. She is powered by a Minn Kota Riptide 160 electric, twin propeller power unit which pushes her quietly to a top speed of 4 to 5 knots.
Due to its location this vessel is viewable by appointment only. Please contact Maiden Marine on 015394 88050 to arrange and appointment.
Constructed in wood using traditional clinker build method of overlapping planks in marine ply and other fittings in Larch. Decked bow and stern compartments provide useful storage and the central battery box makes a handy extra seat.
Transom mounted rudder with tiller steering.
"Bramble" is driven by a Minn Kota Riptide 160 twin propeller electric unit. Power is provided by 4 x 6 Volt deep cycle batteries in series giving 24 Volt output and enough thrust for a boat up to 24 feet or 8000Lbs which is more than enough for the Tammie Norrie. Top speed is reported at between 4 & 5 knots.
The batteries are charged via a 240 battery charger which is kept stored on board.
