“Amelie” is a beautiful example of the Sunreef 74 series of large sailing catamarans from the world renowned shipyard. Initially built for another client who unfortunately could not take possession she was lightly chartered by Sunreef to a few select clients, one of whom was tennis great Rafael Nadal. When the opportunity was presented to the current owner to buy Amelie he took it, despite also owning a Lagoon 620 at the same time. Since buying the boat in December 2018 the boat has been only used by the owner and family, but professionally maintained by a full-time captain. No further charters, no heavy ocean passages and sailed between the east coast USA and Bahamas. Changes to the interior consist of removing a port side couch and replacing with a large custom granite topped cabinet for storage, removal of the small couch in the master cabin to become another custom cabinet for clothes and storage and moving the dryer to a custom cabinet with storage on the starboard side of the cockpit to allow better venting and drying. Lighter colored upholstery for all the main salon seating as well as on the flybridge too from the previous ‘strong’ and darker colors.
Amelie is a strongly built boat and with her striking dark grey hull wrap looks very impressive and ready for a new owner who is looking for a family and friends’ yacht. Sunreef is built to high standards and other sisterships have proven themselves with ocean passages and world cruising. Amelie could also be considered as a great boat for crewed charter if that is a consideration.
The interior layout of this boat consists of 3 guest cabins and a Master cabin for a total of 4. . The owners stateroom is expansive with King (almost a California King), custom storage ample hanging closet, cupboards, and drawers. The ensuite bathroom is comfortable with a generous walk-in shower. Recessed lighting, reading lights, overhead lights and blinds for the large vertical windows.
The three guest cabins offer Queen beds, ample storage, and ensuite bathrooms with enclosed shower. 1 cabin starboard side aft with over and under bunks and ensuite is used as crew cabin or could be for kids. 2 crew cabins in each bow, accessed from on-deck each have a bunk, sink, shower, and toilet.
The chef’s galley is a very bright area in port hull with opening port, and an overhead hatch, as well as 2 entries, one from the main salon, and one direct to the cockpit. 2 additional chest freezers are located in the large areas under the galley floor while custom storage drawers were built where the dryer used to be. On the main deck, the guests can relax in a spacious salon, with an L shape sofa with three comfortable swivel chairs. The main salon table can covert from a coffee table to a large dining table quickly and easily to seat 8. A daybed is a perfect place for kids to have a movie night, with TWO drop-down TV screens and surround sound. The custom cabinet on the port side holds dishes and the bar.
This configuration creates a great family atmosphere or a perfect place for the crew to serve appetizers, drinks and dinner when the exterior conditions are inclement..
The main salon is light and spacious with panoramic wrap-around windows that allow for great views of wherever the boat is anchored or docked and allows the entire exterior to be viewed from comfort. The hydraulic forward door allows easy access to the forward cockpit with seating, a table and sun-shade. Amelie offers multiple options for entertainment and relaxation. There is an array of sunbathing areas from the foredeck, from the sunpads on either side of the forward cockpit, to the sun lounge surrounding the flybridge dining area, or a large lounging area on the starboard side of the cockpit to go with ample seating. Guests can enjoy al fresco dining at the large high-gloss aft deck table that can seat 8, with fibre optic “starry night” effect ceiling for ambiance. The flybridge table can seat 8 is U-shaped and fully protected by the hardtop bimini. The cockpit features bar sink, ice maker and a drink fridge while the flybridge is equipped with an ice maker and fridge.
Amelie can be easily sailed by an experience helmsman from the centrally located helm on the flybridge with all sailing controls lead aft and managed by electric winches with foot controls. An upgraded ‘double’ main sheet system controls the large carbon canoe boom easily and keeps it from moving when at anchor. Sails include a fully battened carbon/Kevlar mainsail, carbon/Kevlar Genoa on electric furling, double pleated Dacron staysail on electric furling and a Gennaker with all gear. Tall 115 ft carbon mast completes the sail package.
Auxiliary transport is provided by the Williams 505 diesel Jet tender that can be safely and quickly launched and retrieved with the hydraulic tender lift and extending davit cranes.
Another addition for easy maneuvering is the Yacht Controller Remote that runs the engines, bow thruster and main anchor windlass.
For easy dockside access is a MarQuip boarding ladder with mounts on port and starboard side.
Bottom Antifouled October 2020. New shaft zincs and propellers and shafts painted with ‘prop-speed’.
Bottom was also surveyed and that survey is available to qualified buyers
Vessel is reluctantly for sale as the owner has a new Sunreef under construction.

Amelie has a master cabin on the starboard side with ensuite head and shower. Previously there had been a sofa on the outboard side but this was replaced by a custom cabinet with granite top.
Three large guest cabins all with ensuite head and shower. Starboard side aft there is a crew cabin and two bow cabins for additional crew. All crew cabins have their own head and shower.
Galley is down on the aft port side with access from the main salon and also from a door directly from the aft deck. Large main salon with a seating and dining area to starboard. Previously there had also been a sofa on port side but this was replaced by a long custom cabinet with granite top. Forward on starboard side is a lower helm position, port side has a small bar area while in the center is a door providing access to the forward seating cockpit.
The cockpit area provides a large dining table and seating for 8. Cabinets on port side house an icemaker and drinks fridge. Stairs lead up to the fly bridge. On port & starboard is a lounging area and a cabinet with granite top that was added for storage, including a dryer 230V and
4 drawers.
The forward seating area has a seating area, table and sun lounger pads on either side. The expansive fly bridge offers a central helm with all sail controls and winches, a seating area with table, lounging area to starboard as well as a wet bar with icemaker, grill and drinks fridge.
Cabins have Tempur mattresses.
