The owner’s cabin is forward for privacy and optimum natural ventilation. A large Island style queen berth with a large cedar lined hanging locker starboard. There is seating to port and starboard of the berth and a private entrance to the head.
This is a two head boat, with the heads on opposite sides of the boat insuring that one head is usable at all times.
The interior is constructed of teak and teak veneers, hand-finished with durable clear varnishes, highlighting the wood’s natural beauty. The cabin sole is a teak and holly textured high pressure laminate. There is a large U-shaped dinette with a folding table that converts to a sea berth. T
The dining table converts from a full dining size to a cocktail dimensions with fold-in leaves. To starboard, there is settee that converts from two chairs and a game table to an outboard sea berth.
Aft of this berth is a nav station and electrical panel. The top two switches are dedicated to cabin lights, easing those black-night searches. The nav station includes a recessed, covered laptop cuddy and a long drawer for charts. A Fusion tuner, CD player, and Bose speakers in the main cabin and cockpit.
This cabin, aft and to starboard, has a large berth angled for easy access and greater headroom. There is a large hanging locker as well. The second aft head, with entrance from the guest head is conveniently located at the foot of the companionway steps. There is plenty of storage.
Port Flex Cabin
The third sleeping cabin is flexible as it can easily be converted from over/under bunks to a storage area or to a workroom with bench and anything in between. It’s perfect for live-aboards who always need more room for storage or large families as well. This unique feature is only found on the Catalina 445.
