The Kenny Flowers boats are not as well known as some other builders boats....they should be, with an impressive turn of speed per unit horse power this Spencer Lincoln design is as performance oriented as you get in the mid sized downeast styled hulls. This particular example is done as a simple cruising yacht with an eye to keeping maintenance costs down with no exterior woodwork.
Extensively upgraded by her current owner with fresh Awlgrip from the bootstripe to the flying bridge!! Hull and house were further clear coated with Awlcraft clear coat, along with a new higher HP bow thruster and some upgraded cabinetry, additional handrails etc. and her exciting 20+ kt cruise she is a compelling package.

This Flowers 36 will accommodate up to four in a single stateroom galley down layout with an island queen berth in the stateroom and a settee that converts to a double berth in the salon as desired. There is a good deal of natural light and ventilation with four stainless ports with screens, one large and two small hatches and then the wheelhouse surrounded with Diamond Seaglaze windows four of them sliders with screens along with a center line windshield with a lower opening window. Ample 12 volt lighting with numerous overhead recessed 12 volt lamps and reading lamps at the berth. During the off season there are two Heatercraft "Bus Type" heaters to warm the interior. Headroom is app 6'5" in the salon area and 6'-4" below.
Starting forward is the Stateroom with an island queen berth measuring 6'-6" by 5'-0" with voluminous storage under. Outboard the hull is lined with "ceiling strips" and there are net hammocks for storage. Aft P&S are his and her hanging lockers with a shelf above.
Aft and to starboard is the enclosed head with stall shower compartment. This features an electric Jabsco W.C. plumbed to the holding tank which is fitted with macerator and deck pump out, fore and aft vanity with Corian counter top with under mount Corian sink and 3 lockers for storage. At the aft end of the head compartment is the separate stall shower with seat which drains to a separate sump.
Opposite is the U-shaped galley with Corian counter tops, large single basin under mount sink, Origo 2 burner low pressure alcohol/electric stove and Dometic refrigerator/freezer compartment. Plenty of storage in several lockers. Part of the fitted galley equipment includes a microwave oven and coffee maker.
Up three steps to the Salon with L-settee to port with some storage under and a hi/lo table that drops to berth height when so desired. A short settee to starboard compliments this also with storage under. A high-backed Todd helm chair is fitted for the Captain and Navigator.
A centerline sliding door accesses the cockpit which is fitted with a 2/3 width transom seat with storage, there are under deck lockers P&S and a large storage are under the forward deck hatch. Easy access to wide side decks leading fore and aft with convenient grab rails.
An appropriately angled stainless steel ladder leads to the flying bridge which is fitted with 2 Todd helm seats and a leaning post aft.
Fully equipped for coastal and near offshore cruising or fishing.
A single Caterpillar C-12 ACERT turning a 32 X 32" 4 bladed Nibral propeller on a 2-1/2" stainless shaft through a ZF 2:1 reduction gear gives the boat cruising speeds to over 23 knots with wide open throttle speed of over 26 knots. The engine shows 1400 hours as of 6/17/20. 1,000 hour servicing was done on the engine the winter of 2018/19

The entire vessel was Awl gripped in 2015 from the boot stripe to the flying bridge and the hull and white of the house clear coated for long term gloss and color retention.
Fiberglass hull with Corecell closed cell coring from just below the deck edge to the engine stringers. The hull is finished with Corinthian Blue Awlgrip with a white boot stripe and is fitted with stainless steel capped spray rails forward and quarter rails aft. Likewise the house and decks are fiberglass with Corecell closed cell coring. As part of the 2015 upgrading all non-skid areas were re-painted with Awlgrip with griptex and are nicely offset against white Awlgrip house and water ways etc. also re-done in 2015/16. The trunk cabin house top was finished in flat-semi gloss finish to avoid glare in the skippers eyes while the rest of the white surfaces are all gloss with Awlcraft clear coat.
In keeping with the thought process of performance and keeping a mindful eye on weight, the custom hard top is made of carbon fiber.
