TURAN is a much-loved and very lightly used Grand Soleil 40. She is the perfect value for money fast cruiser with low maintenance costs and she is able to host 5 guests for easy handling cruising. She is still under the first ownership.

FURTHER BROKER’S COMMENTS:

Designed as an easy-to-sail performance cruiser, the Paperini-designed Grand Soleil 40 is equally at home family cruising as she is racing around the cans or offshore. The ergonomics of the entire cockpit are nearly perfect. The seats are wide and comfortable with well-angled coamings, and the teak cockpit sole is attractive and provides secure traction. Low coamings and long teak handrails make it easy to go forward, and the helm station is excellent. There's an especially nice spot to windward when the breeze is up; the wheel pedestal is angled to make a splendid foot brace. Even shorter skippers will have good sight lines over the low cabintop.

TURAN is a 2-cabin, 1-heads owner version of this very popular Italian performance yacht. Her specification highlights include:-

  • 2-cabin, owner version with big space
  • Blue Navy hull with a vinyl protective wrap
  • Larger 39hp engine option
  • Flex-o-fold three blades propeller
  • 2.15m lead keel
  • Standard rig with 2-sets of spreaders
  • 6 Harken winches with electric
  • Raymarine instruments with chart plotter
  • Teak deck
  • Spinnaker pole
  • Tender and outboard
  • Carbon fibre passarelle
  • Dyneema halyards
  • Led lights
  • Seacocks replaced in 2019
  • Rudder bearing replaced in 2019

PRESS REVIEW:

“The Grand Soleil 40 is a nice example of a noted Italian builder's response to the trend toward "performance cruising." If your middle years are no longer over the distant horizon, if you love to race or just cruise fast, if you want luxurious accommodations after a hard day's work rounding the buoys or rounding a headland on an extended cruise, the Grand Soleil 40 is a boat to consider.”
