The J/105 is a family boat designed to satisfy the needs of Mom, Dad, the kids, and friends. With its outstanding performance in any wind/ sea condition, it can be lazily cruised under main alone for refreshing evening cruises or launch the large asymmetric spinnaker and reel off the miles on a long passage. With active fleets all over the world, the boat can be competitively raced around the cans or off-shore.
Hull and Deck Construction
- Lloyd's approved, aircraft grade AL600 epoxy coated CK57 (6 lbs./cu.ft.) Baltek end-grained balsa laminate construction using polyester resin and biaxial glass fabrics. A vinylester resin barrier to prevent blisters.
- White gel coat hull with single (1.50" to 3.00") tapered bootstripe.
- Large sit-in cockpit with 6.5' seats with backrests, suitable for cockpit cushions.
- One lazarette locker and two cockpit seat lockers w/flush spring loaded latches.
