The Victory 35 is designed with livaboard comfort in mind. A bright and airy main salon is luxurious with its hand crafted joinery and louvered doors. There is 6'4" headroom throughout, and continuous, bronze tinted windows offer 180 degree panoramic views.
The spacious interior features a large U shaped galley with double sink, refrigerator/freezer and two burner stove. Forward are a settee, table and a comfortable chair that accommodate seven. The galley up layout in the Victory places the galley on the same level as the main salon; no more is the cook removed from the action. To port, the large navigation station includes chart table, electronics and a convenient pull out seat.
Within the hulls are three roomy cabins with two queen size berths and a double berth forward. Berths are oriented fore and aft, providing much greater comfort in a rolling sea than berths laid out athwartships. The starboard hull features ample hanging lockers(closets, really) and a full head with vanity and shower. The separate guest cabin to port includes a double berth, closet and full head and shower or optional office.
Seven opening deck hatches with screens, plus ten opening ports, provide light and air below, in any weather and any climate. This is a boat in which everybody on board has plenty of space, plenty of privacy, and unbelievable comfort.
A catamaran is inherently a very stable boat. The Victory 35 has built in buoyancy and watertight compartments, making her unsinkable. Double lifelines and wide side decks make her very secure in rough weather. The shoal draft lets her skim over shallow water. The solid foredeck provides a stable, solid working platform and tremendous strength to her construction. The roller furling jib makes going forward for sail changes unnecessary. The Victory 35 is a strong, safe, easy to sail yacht. Ideal for sailors of every age and experience.
The Victory 35 is exceedingly well built in Clearwater, Florida. She was designed by naval architect Bill Hepburn of Tradewinds Yacht Design to merge comfort and safety with catamaran performance. State of the art foam core, biaxial glass fabrics and vinylester, vacuum bagged resins give excellent strength to weight ratios and ensure a virtually maintenance free yacht. Superior fit and finish result in a yacht that will look beautiful and hold its value for a very long time.
Victory 35's asymmetric, stepped hulls and high bridge deck clearance eliminate wave slamming and noise. Large aerodynamic rudders promote directional stability, keeping on course while driving through sea. She has built in chain and sail lockers, an excellent anchoring system(including 2 bow rollers and chain locker), and built in transom steps. The 16 foot beam allows her easy access to marina berths.
Victory's sailing abilities are well defined. Her unique hull shape creates a fine water line entrance enabling her to point 38 degrees apparent. Half wind and down wind speeds are impressive for a yacht her size. Besides great speed, her easy tacking, 5 degree healing and gentle sea going ability make her a pleasure to sail.
The simple and powerful rig has a full battened mainsail with lazyjacks. The genoa is roller furling. The traveler is set conveniently aft of the cockpit. Out of the way yet easy to access. All halyards, sheets and reefing gear lead aft to the helman's seat for effortless single handed cruising. Lines are controlled by two self tailing winches, an electric winch and sheet stoppers. Raising the mainsail with the electric winch is an easy task.
Standard power on the Victory 35 is a reliable, quiet, 40 hp Yanmar fresh water cooled diesel, mounted amidships under the cockpit. Far from the living quarters. The drive shaft extends vertically into the water and is easily retracted when the boar is berth or under sail. No stuffing box or shaft seal required. The shaft is steerable. Her twin rudders make the boat highly maneuverable in tight spaces. Fuel consumption is less than a half gallon per hour at 6 knots(factory specs.). The removable cockpit solo provides easy, 360 degree access to the engine compartment. Includes 80 amp alternater
