The Little Harbor WhisperJet 38 model offers outstanding maneuverability, great shallow draft capability of 1'-10", and easy handling in an economical day boat or weekend cruiser. JACKRABBIT’s features include the Hinckley JetStick steering system, generator, air conditioning, teak decks, teak transom and Yanmar engines. She also has a private cabin arrangement not typically found in other WJ 38’s. Built with a tan convertible soft top with removable Eisenglass windows.
JACKRABBIT's unique layout has a private cabin forward, berth seating for four (convertible for sleeping for two), galley with Corian countertop and private head with shower. The cabin interior has solid cherry trim, locker frames, drawer fronts and corner posts with a hand-rubbed varnish finish.
Starting forward, a V-berth with filler converts to a large double berth. There are numerous shelves and storage locker, and two large cedar-lined hanging lockers.
Aft of the Master Cabin, to starboard, is a dinette with teak table that lowers to convert to a double berth. A hanging locker is located aft, and there is shelving outboard.
The galley, located to port, is equipped with a Norcold 110/12 volt refrigerator, Kenyon electric stovetop, GE microwave oven with shelf, pressurized fresh water system, a 6-gallon stainless steel hot water tank with 110v element and heat exchanger, Corian sink with Grohe faucet and Corian countertops.
Aft of the galley is an enclosed head with cherry door. It’s fitted with a fresh water marine head and holding tank system with a Tankwatch III monitor. Highlights include a Corian sink with a Grohe shower faucet, a cherry-framed mirror, Corian counter, chrome fixtures and a removable shower grate. An opening port provides light and ventilation.
BRIDGE DECK, HELM STATION
Forward of the cockpit, the bridge deck serves as the prime entertainment area. The area can be enclosed with heat and air conditioning, or open to the elements, by changing the configuration of the canvas.
The helm station is located forward and to starboard, with full electronics and instrumentation and a leather Stidd helm chair with built-in Hinckley JetStick steering and control module. Forward to port is a customized teak chart table. An L-settee seats four comfortably with a tapered teak table. A removable seat back can be used by the co-helmsman/navigator. Alternatively, the table can be removed altogether to make room for more guests. Behind the helmsman's seat is a large wet bar with varnished teak countertop, sink, refrigeration and storage below. All cockpit cushions are Linen UltraLeather. The cockpit seating has storage access ports for better storage of equipment and supplies.
