Island Packet builds distinctive, full-keel boats that have almost a cult following. They're solid glass, heavy cruisers that will get you there in safety and comfort.This sturdy, aft cockpit boat boasts good water and fuel tankage and a spacious two cabin, one head layout. "Cajun Moon" was in in the yard at Puerto Del Ray Marina, Fajardo, PR durring Hurricane Maria and sustained some hurricane damage. Nothing too serious but some of the main issues being;
Damage to the hull Starboard and Port side. Damages were limited to the Gelcoat. No delamination was observed during the inspection. Several scratches, nicks and gouges were visible in both sides. Both the Port and Starboard sides have to be reconditioned and prepared for a new coat of paint in the hull sides
The caprail and rubrail in both and starboard side have to be repaired due to the impacts received.
The bottom of the vessel showed many gouges. The bottom has to be completely sanded to the gelcoat, refinish the bottom and prepare for final coat of underwater barrier coat epoxy and antifouling paint
The rudder is delaminated and is hard to turn. It should be removed, repaired and verify the rudderpost for straightness. The system must be verified for proper operation once it is repaired
Stanchions (2) were bent, the front and aft railings were bent.
Full Loss Report and Estimate for Repairs upon request. The vessel is currently listed for the full asking price as if the repairs were completed.
