OWNER WANTS TO SEE MOET GO TO A GOOD HOME
MOET was designed and built by a well-regarded maker of fine furniture and his talents show well in this capable little pocket cruiser / daysailor first launched in 1997.
It’s hard for us here at Brooklin Boat Yard not to imagine that the inspiration for MOET could have come from the earlier (1992) Joel White design of the Sakonnet 23 daysailor. Nothing wrong with a little design adaptation as imitation is the sincere form of flattery and MOET should perform equally as well as her inspiration making her a joy to sail.
The Sakonnet 23 was strictly a daysailor for protected waters. MOET’s design features (changes) of slightly higher topsides, raised cabin, protective bridge deck, more secure cockpit and slightly shorter masthead rig make her well suited to sailing further offshore and farther afield. Add the (included) trailer and her cruising grounds become virtually endless.
