FRONT PAGE NEWS!!! TWISTER CAME IN SECOND PLACE IN THE SANTA BARBARA TO KING HARBOR RACE IN A VERY COMPETITIVE DIVISION-PHRF A THE FIRST RACE ENTERED THIS SEASON WITH OWNERS IN CHARGE!!!
THE FIRST PLACE FINISHER IN HER DIVISION WAS AMAZING GRACE, A VERY WELL SAILED FARR 57. THIS 41 HAS A REPUTATION AS A GIANT KILLER-
NOW YOU COULD HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO WIN OWNING THIS MODIFIED SYDNEY WITH A FRACTION OF THE INVESTMENT SPENT ON OTHER COMPETITORS!!!!!!
This Sydney 41 has cruising comforts wrapped in a high performance package. Twister should be compared to the performance of the Farr 40, the J 122 and the J 125, especially considering the overall first place finishes around the world. She scored a first overall in the Sydney to Hobart Race, first in the Fastnet Race and first in several long distance races around the world. Additionally, the 41 has always scored well in our local Southern and Northern California races.
Twister is not an oversized sport boat. The 41 has a surprisingly comfortable interior featuring 2 cabins, a respectable galley with a 2 burner stove and oven, a spacious salon and one enclosed head. The navigation station is ample to display charts and well positioned. This is a masthead rig with large mainsail. Smaller jibs make handling her much easier in both cruising and racing mode.
Twister sports a bulb designed by Nelson Merek which has improved on her initial stellar performance. Drawings for the keel are available for viewing.
The carbon fiber mast and carbon fiber sails make her an awesome performance machine. You can pay twice this price for another yacht of this size and not have the performance in Twister.
Over $30,000 invested in equipment and upgrades in the last year.
She was designed by Ian Murray.
For those wanting to know her speed potential she has a PHRF rating of 18..
