Barbican Yacht Construction was set up in the late 1970s, initially only moulding the hulls for their yachts, and contracting out the fit-out to Terry Erskine Yachts, (builder of many Golden Hind models). In the early 1980s Barbican Yachts took over the complete production process. 'Gadabout' is a great example and worthy of an early viewing.
The forecabin has a double berth and seat. The private head is then to starboard, it has a marine wc and a handbasin with pressurized hot/cold water supply. A hanging locker is opposite.
Moving aft there are two single berths in the saloon. The starboardside saloon has seating around a saloon table.
The galley is aft and to port and is equipped with a Plastimo Neptune 2000 (new 2004) two burner gas cooker with grill and oven, a stainless steel sink (1 & 1/2 bowl) and a cool box.
The chart table is opposite the galley and there is a also wet locker aft.
1 x Perkins Perama 18hp diesel engine via a conventional shaft to a 3 bladed propellor.
