BUIZEN HAS ALWAYS BEEN SYNONYMOUS WITH BUILD AND DESIGN QUALITY, AND THIS VESSEL IS AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF THIS. Eclipse presents like new and is a testament to the exceptional workmanship and the rigorous maintenance the two owners this vessel has had since launch. Featuring the performance rig, and winged keel, this vessel has been sailed by a well known Tasmanian owner across Bass Strait single-handed many times, multiple trips to Hamilton Island to compete in race weeks, and even a Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race! It has also raced locally and been cruised extensively around the East Coast of Australia. Buizen's reputation for performance, safety and comfort has certainly proven true with this vessel.
The interior is absolutely stunning, with the superb varnish work being in pristine condition. The teak fitout is of the highest quality, and gives a warm and welcoming feel. The spacious saloon is light and airy thanks to the natural light of the true pilot house, and gives the feel of a much larger vessel. The inside helm station is very well appointed with modern electronics and full engine controls. Opposite, the dinette with leather seating provides space for up to 8 with comfort, and the 360 degree vision makes this a spectacular vantage point to enjoy a relaxing evening at anchor.
Moving forward down two small steps, the galley is to port and includes a 2 burner stove with convection microwave oven, top opening fridge and freezer plus front opening fridge for day use, all beautifully finished in teak cabinetry and corian type benches. At this level is the master cabin with full ensuite, a twin cabin with bunk style berths plus the main bathroom with separate shower stall and toilet. Further accommodation is aft of the saloon and includes another fully enclosed double cabin to port, and quarter berth to starboard. This is an ideal sea-berth when passage making including a dedicated nav station complete with the necessary electronics.
The well designed cockpit allows good space for sailing the boat either crewed or short-handed, with lines leading aft and power winches creating effortless operation of sheets and halyards. It is also an entertainers delight with spacious seating, including aft seats behind the helm, and large varnished teak table. The oversized dinghy davits allow for a larger tender to be carried, perfect for taking guests ashore.
This vessel is powered by an upgraded 100hp Volvo and has done approximately only 2600 hours and also features an Onan 6.5kva Genset providing 240V power.
