There is no other boat like "Shin Dera." She is one of the most rugged world cruisers you will ever see, set up perfectly for inland and offshore cruising!
Make sure you look at the photos for hull thickness! By far, the best thing about her is the ability she has for her masts to be lowered easily and rest on deck, giving you a clearance of 13' for cruising inland canals and waterways. Take her through the loop, pop the masts back up, and sail the Caribbean! Cross the Atlantic and cruise the French canals! This boat can do ANYTHING, and she's comfortable enough for long-term living aboard and seaworthy enough to weather whatever Mother Ocean throws your way. Her 14' 4" beam houses accommodations normally seen on much larger vessels. And with her draft of 4' 2" you can truly explore the places less-traveled.
This is a rare boat. Don't hesitate.
"Shin Dera" will take you anywhere. She is an incredible boat. Don't miss the opportunity to see her!
I'm always looking for great listings for my clients! Please contact me if you have a boat you would like to sell!

For her size, "Shin Dera" is one of the toughest fiberglass boats you will ever see. Her hull was laid up in 1991, and then she sat in indoor storage in Michigan until 2007, when she was purchased by her current owners. They finished outfitting her and cruised her happily for years, constantly improving on her.
Entering the companionway, you will step into a spacious salon with a large dinette to port and a u-shaped galley to starboard. The most impressive feature of the galley is the classic alcohol stove and oven--a rare unit that is far superior to the average propane system. Her refrigeration is large with custom shelves, and the galley features dual stainless sinks and enough storage to cruise for long periods of time without having to provision.
Moving forward, she has a generous nav station to starboard and a large head to port. There is a washer/dryer in the head! And still room for showers! The v-berth is lined with storage and the berths are low and comfortable. Anchor locker access is easy, as well as access to the electric windlass and the bow thruster.
Moving aft from the salon, there is a workshop area on the port side with full access to the engine and generator through opening panels. Aft of this is the large aft cabin, a second head, and a smaller cabin to starboard. There is a second companionway hatch with access into the aft cabin.
Most impressive about this boat is her ability to convert to an inland cruiser with the simple lowering of her masts, giving her 13' of vertical clearance. A small crane or a travel lift can do the job of lowering the masts--a full-sized crane is not needed. The masts are nestled in cradles, rigging is conveniently stowed, and she suddenly becomes the perfect boat for the Great Loop or European canals.
Under sail, she is beautiful and sturdy, and one would feel safe crossing large stretches of ocean aboard her. She is truly a world cruiser, suitable for any part of the world! Her shallow draft will allow you to reach the places in the Bahamas where most boats of this size can't go, and her vertical clearance of 49' with the masts up gives you access to all the bridges on the inland waterway.
Don't miss this opportunity!
