The last major service was in 2013 I had the entire cooling system redone on the engines at about $8k with Tom Hug, he pulled heat exchangers dipped, rebuilt and re coated, and all hoses and replaced with the blue silicone 30 yr hoses from intake through the trans cooler. The Jefferson 40 Convertible offers two staterooms as standard, a feature unheard of in a craft of this size. The cabin house is set on Jefferson's unique, high-performance planing hull. The ample foredeck, big enough for sunbathing, is balanced by the large cockpit, which offers room for sport fishing. There's room for half dozen or more up on the spacious flybridge. Inside the 40, two floor plans are available, and both offer a master stateroom with double berth, a guest cabin with bunk berths, and a head with a shower. The galley may be situated on the lower cabin or saloon level; a three-burner electric galley stove, refrigerator - freezer, and microwave oven are standard equipment. With either plan, a large saloon, handsomely trimmed with hand rubbed teakwood, provides additional space for comfortable entertaining. The Jefferson 40 Convertible is powered by standard 210-BHP Cummins diesel engines, with diesel power options to twin 375 available. Fittings are of fine marine-grade bronze, and deck hardware is stainless steel. The exterior finish is high-gloss gelcoat for long-lasting beauty and ease of maintenance.
