Accommodations

Sleeps up to seven. Her forward stateroom is the extended version and includes an ensuite head comparment, with a separate stall shower. Her pullman style berth in the forward cabin comfortably sleeps two, with ample storage underneath, and there are two hanging lockers adjacent to a vanity with swing-out seating. In the salon, the large L-shaped settee to port converts to a double, and the settee opposite can be turned into a single sea berth. With the bulkhead-mounted dinette table down and her drop-leaf extended, she will sit seven for dinner. The aft cabin is just to starboard of the companionway, adjacent to the boat's second head compartment, and can sleep two.

Hull

A "Double -Support" system for the rudder installation employs two bearings. Chain plates are bedded with 3M 5200, locked to the deck and then through-bolted to the interior knees with backing plates. Constructed of solid fiberglass with 24-ounce woven roving laminate and a fiberglass cored composite deck, the Caliber 38 is intended to be an efficient cruiser combining the stability characteristics of a full-keeled boat with the performance attributes of a fast fin-keeled cruiser. All floors, stringers, bulkheads, shelves, and frames are bonded to the hull with heavy fiberglass tabbing and a proprietary "Quad-Seal" process is used to bond the deck to the hull with 3M 5200 marine adhesive and stainless steel bolts on six-inch centers.
