The Petrel 21 was constructed and finished to a high standard. by Golden Era, Noank, Connecticut and is a direct fiberglass hulled reproduction of the classic Fish Class designed by Nat Herreshoff in 1916. The fiberglass hull is constructed with a 3/8" Airex core. The deck is fiberglass cloth and epoxy covered marine grade plywood laid over oak beams. Varnished teak rub rails, cockpit coamings, and trim. Full keel. Lead ballast, that is mounted externally and bolted through the hull. New ash tiller.
Cuddy cabin has V berth and two facing seats at companionway. Large enough for two adults to sit comfortably and sleep on a weekend trip. Used at present for dry stoage of gear. Finished with ash staving and oak deck beams. Overhead painted white. Deep cockpit with wide seats over two cockpit lockers, cockpit cushions, teak coamings.
