The PANDA 38 does so many things well. Her deck plan is straight forward and has oversized hardware everywhere. The cutter rig is simple to handle. The interior is exquisitely finished as well as air conditioned and diesel heated. She has surprising performance for a traditional blue water cruiser. LOTH LORIEN covers all the bases.
Starting forward below in the master stateroom is access to the split anchor locker. Generous queen berth with additional comfort mattress pad. Deck prism overhead, (3) overhead 12v lighting as well as (2) reading lights. Two opening bronze ports with screens, one opening hatch with screen, air conditioning and diesel heat. (2) double 110 outlets, Hanging locker, shelves, storage compartments, and a padded seat. As throughout the boat, Beautiful satin teak and teak and Spruce sole.
Coming aft through the master stateroom door there is built in furniture to port. The head with sizeable stall shower are to starboard. The head counter is finished in attractive marble. The sink has 12v hot and cold water and a fresh water foot pump. Under the sink is a diaphragm pump for holding tank pump out. Manual SW head. Opening bronze ports with screens in the head and shower, solar vent overhead in the stall shower. A teak floor grate, sump pump, mounted telephone style shower head, and molded seat complete the stall shower. Diesel heat, 12v lighting, and 110 plug. Storage cabinets.
Moving aft into the main salon, the space is set off by a fantastic overhead bi-fold opening hatch/skylight with screens. Teak hand holds are overhead. There is a long straight settee to port and a U shaped settee to starboard. The table drops to create a double berth. Three guests can sleep in the salon. Four opening bronze ports with screens. Storage behind and tankage below settees. Diesel heat and air conditioning. (4) 12v reading lights and (5) overhead lights. Bookshelves and numerous storage areas with doors.
Aft to starboard through a beautiful curved teak opening is the navigation station with a full complement of electronics, large hinged working area, swing out padded seat, opening bronze port with screen, 12v lighting and 12v plug. There are AC/DC panels, windlass breaker, (2) three position battery switches, Xintex Vessel Monitoring system, hot water control for diesel heat, and more.
Opposite to port is the good sized galley. Large top and front loading 12v refrigerator/freezer, Kenmore microwave, Princess Mariner (2) burner propane stove and oven. Double SS sink with 12v hot and cold water, foot pumps for fresh and salt water as well. There is plenty of storage, 110 plug, 12v lighting, and opening bronze port with screen.
The aft bulkhead provides quite a lot of storage and center stairs up to the companionway. There is terrific engine access under the stairs.
