Urban Cowboy is the first and original Ross 40 - a boat that was ahead of its time and one that has been constantly upgraded to keep up with the times. Urban Cowboy is a legend in the Auckland racing scene. A new Dibley keel was added to improve upwind performance and with a generous age allowance will be a contender in any offshore series or race.
Cedar/glass and still one of the lightest Ross 40 hulls. Survey completed in 2019 shows no areas of concern. Clean and functional interior with three doubles and room for two singles in saloon. Originally designed as a racer/cruiser, the Ross 40 proved that it could do both well. Race results over the years have been impressive and Ross 40's have cruised in many parts of the world. Urban Cowboy is well sorted as a shorthanded racer and would be well suited for this growing movement in worldwide racing.

Plastimo gas oven with two hobs. Freezer is custom and is driven off compressor. Very effective! Cools beers down in about 15min of running. Frozen food at the bottom, fridge food stacked on top. Getting beers chilled quickly is key!
