Medium blue hull with new awlgrip in 2012, white decks and cabin. Encapsulated ballast modified fin keel with skeg hung rudder. Wide side decks with raised rail, anchor locker forward, teak hand rails, toe rails and trim, double life lines, bow and stern rails, stainless steel boarding ladder. Wheel steering. Comfortable cockpit with halyards led aft, custom traveler lines led back to helmsman. Hull: alternative layers of mat and roving, hand laid up, minimum 10 layers on centerline. Deck: hand laid glass, end grain balsa core. Hull to deck joint riveted, bolted and sealed with 3M5200. Interlux "Interprotect", below water line stripped and bottom coated.
Comfortably sleeps 6. Forward stateroom with vee berth (filler cushion), enclosed lockers over each berth, 2 opening ports, overhead hatch. Private entrance to head next aft to port. The large head area has a shower stall, well laid out vanity, including storage lockers, large mirror, new electric toilet in 2016. Going aft from vee berths on the starboard side, four enclosed storage lockers including two large hanging lockers. The large main salon has deep port and starboard settees. Port settee pulls out to a 60 x 78 inch double berth. Starboard settee is a comfortable single. A large functional varnished teak table folds up against to port bulkhead; equipped with a fold out leaf and storage area behind the table. There is a storage area provided over starboard berth and a book shelf over the port berth. All new interior cushions in 2014. Recent filter on pressure water system.
One brass and functional Parifin lamp is provided at the end of port settee. Main cabin has four opening ports, cabin curtains, a teak cabin sole and varnished trim. For chilly days, a portable Conaflame gimbaled heater with cooktop mounts on a special bracket under the table.
The U shaped galley is located at the base of the companionway to port. Includes a recent gimballed 3 burner propane stove with oven/broiler, 11.5 cubic feet icebox with Adler Barbour 12v DC refrigeration and sump, double stainless steel sinks with pressure hot and cold water, storage cabinets and lockers incorporated in the galley area.
There is a very practical and enclosed nav station opposite the galley including an opening chart table and fixed swivel nav seat, aft of the nav station is a large quarter berth.
4 cylinder Westerbeke, 27 hp, f.w.c. diesel single lever engine control, guage panel in cockpit, original shaft replaced including cutlass bearing, dripless shaft seat. New starter motor, wiring, breaker and key switch in 2000. New raw water pump in 2004, "spurs' added in 2004. Water lift muffler, two manual bilge pumps, bronze ball valves. (2) 12 volt batteries, one Group 24, one 8D. Vapor proof battery switch, Nautikus 15 amp. battery charger, 120 v sc shore power system. Link 10 battery monitor, new engine hour meter in 2003. New Balmar alternator, regulator and echo charger in 2002.
The engine has had work done over the years including a recent exhaust elbow. Balmar alternator, water pump. Engine mounts replaced, and new engine pan.
