Victory has been sailed on Lake Champlain for family cruises and lightly raced primarily in club midweek and weekend races. She sails well in all conditions of wind strength and is a fine looking yacht that looks fast even while standing still! Victory has been regularly upgraded and maintained for safety and seaworthiness. The C&C design team developed a sleek, fast boat that leaves little wake yet provides cruising accommodations for up to 6. Victory tracks well under sail and requires little movement of the wheel to remain on course. Optimum heel angle is 10-15 degrees but there is little leeway even at a heel angle of 25 degrees. Her strength is in her pointing ability and upwind speed.
Freshwater since 1989. A comfortable cruising boat which sleeps six. It has been lightly raced with an excellent race record.
Boat was repowered in 2001/2002 with a new prop and shaft.
Bottom was recored in 2005 and barrier coated.

The ample cruising accommodations are rare for such a sleek competitive yacht. There is a full size quarter berth to port, double berth in the main cabin to starboard, single berth to port and a double berth in the forepeak. Thick comfortable foam cushions are covered with the original dark blue cloth in excellent condition. The 3-burner gimbaled propane stove with oven is in excellent working condition with the propane tank replaced in 1996.The icebox has a large storage capacity and holds ice very well and drains with a manual pump into the bilge. The pressure water system works well – holding pressure even when unused. The foot-operated manual faucet is useful for incidental sink rinsing. The hot water tank was replaced in 2003 and heats water both electrically from shore power and from the engine. There are two fans to assist with air circulation in the main cabin.Mosquito nets are custom fitted for all hatches and the companionway. There is a separate hatch board for the companionway with screen.
