The Bill Lapworth-designed Cal 39 Mk. II was built between 1978 and 1982. It featured a powerful sailplan and very spacious and attractive interior. It was a popular design, and well maintained Cal 39's continue to fill the needs of cruisers and performance-oriented sailors. AMORE VERO is a fine example of this great Bill Lapworth design. She's had many recent upgrades including sails, standing rigging, new cabin sole, and self-tailing genoa sheet winches. She is in the water and may easily inspected .Her owner is downsizing to a daysailer.

Sail inventory includes Squeteague mainsail (2013), Squeteague 135% roller-furling genoa, 120% roller-furling lightly-used genoa in good condition,150% roller-furling genoa in good condition, and older mainsail in good condition. Harken roller-furling system for genoa. Standing rigging is oversized and was replaced in 2017. Mid-boom mainsheet traveller mounted on cabin top. block and tackle boom vang. Winch inventory includes two Lewmar #46 self-tailing genoa primary winches (2013), two Barlow #25 secondary winches, Barient #27 self-tailing mainsheet winch, two mast-mounted Barient #18 halyard winches. Forward port chainplate replaced 2009.
