Columbia Yachts built some of their finest boats during the mid 1970's. Construction quality was quite good compared to some other production manufacturers of this era. Columbia's 9.6 (31' 5" LOD) was designed by Alan Payne and followed the 1/2 Ton IOR rule. The design is reported to be "fast for her rating".
This boat could use some repair, to the starboard main bulkhead and port aft lower knee for the chain plate. She will also need general cleaning, buffing and attention to detail. The engine appears to be in very good condition. It is a Yanmar!
