Westerly Centaur Layout A, Carolan is one of the better Westerly Centaurs I have seen for some time. She has sailed good distances and is extremely well maintained. This version of this classic Laurent Giles design has the galley on the starboard side and quarter berths port and starboard with two berths in the fore peak leaving the saloon with the table athwartships, seating four comfortably. The Vetus 28hp engine is large engine for this boat and the result is plenty of power to get you out of trouble. Seven knots top speed and five knots cruising with 1.5 ltr per hour fuel consumption. Her bilge keels were recently removed, inspected and replaced. Carolan has been cruised extensively and can be sailed off grid with her solar panels and up-to-date electronics. If you’re looking for an affordable coastal cruising boat, with 6' headroom, then Carolan is well worth a viewing and she comes with a 2019 survey.
