Very powerfull and fast RORC II class . She took part to the 1967 Admirals Cup in the Sweedish-Finnish team and obtained excellent result thanks to her 4th place in the Fastnet race. It was an important moment of the yachting history as the first low displacement yachts with separate rudder from the keel of Dick Carter had appeared like Rabbit in 1965 and Rabbit II and Tina in 1967….

The father of the actual owner of Can Can was a renewn yachtsman and very fond of yacht racing. In 1963 he had a fast yacht designed by Arvid Laurin and built in Finland by Borga called Lileca II alongside with Can Can II of Ernst Kindberg, NJK's president. The 2 sailors became so much friend that when in 1966 Kindberg had his new Can Can III designed buy Laurin , they raced together on this excellent very fast second class RORC cruiser racer. She won 9 out of the 10 sailing events in the summer 1966 In the 10th event, she broke her mast and made her way under engine power to the Danish town of StubbekOping

CAN CAN was fitted with a new mast and she was part of the Finnish team that took part in the famous Admiral's Cup in Cowes, England, in 1967. Finland and its arch rival Sweden called a truce aboard in order to form a single team for this event. One of its members was my father Lennart, says the actual owner of the yacht.  CAN CAN did well and came in 4th in the Fastnet Race that year.My father, Lennart, was so delighted with this boat that when she was later put on sale, he flew over with a deposit, but he pulled out at the last minute, his practical mind telling him that the boat was a little too impractical. CAN CAN was built for racing but father wanted to use her for family sailing too.

After many years in 2011 the actual owner found the yacht (under different name) that was so much beloved and so fast at the time of his youth and bought her in 2012. The boat was renamed Can Can and was completely restored and refitted in order to become again a fast cruiser racer, very seaworthy and strong.
