Classic steel ketch designed as a safe comfortable off-shore cruiser with shallow draft for the Great Lakes and the Bahamas. Flush built (no side decks) for safety and increased room down below. All steel, ballast carried inside the hull (no separate keel). Easily sailed by two people.
Originally designed by W.H. ("Ham") DeFontaine (vice commodore New York Yacht Club) as an offshore cruiser in 1943. Standing rigging redesigned by George Cuthbertson N.A. from rope to steel wire before construction in 1964/5. Built by Cliff Richardson Boats Ltd. of Meaford Ontario in 1965. Round bilge steel hull and decks, ketch rig, flush-built, teak fore and aft rails, and oak bowsprit, Sitka spruce boxed masts and solid booms.
Boat comes with an 8 ft Boatex Sailing Dinghy with a 5 hp Mercury motor.
