PARAMOUR was designed by Ed Monk, Sr. in the spirit of the post-war fast attack streamlined look, that became the style for the fifties, and into the sixties. Built by the renown Nelson & Hansen Yard in Seattle's west waterway on the Duwamish River, she was commissioned by Phil Butler, two time Commodore of Seattle Yacht Club in 1955. Now in possession of the son that helped sand the hull of the new boat @ 20 years of age, in preparation for the planned August cruise. PARAMOUR has been a resident of SYC since new, surviving the roof collapse that resulted in the rebuilding of the topside windshield and refinishing. First time offered for sale in 63 years, the classic value of this vessel cannot be sentimental alone.
