Reprise is a 2012 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 379, Cruising World Magazine's 2012 Boat of the Year. Her owner, an experienced sailor, equipped her for coastal cruising with emphasis on safety, performance and comfort. Many of the features are designed for sailing short-handed.
She is a fractionally rigged sloop equipped with NMEA 2000 networked Simrad electronics including GPS chartplotter, radar, AIS, Sirius/XM weather data and audio, speed, depth and wind instruments, VHF/DSC radio with remote handheld, and autopilot. A second multifunction display is located at the navigation station in the main cabin. There is also a GoFree wifi module that supports Apple and Android tablet and smartphone navigation apps.
Accommodations include two private double cabins and a large enclosed head/shower with electric marine toilet The saloon has a deluxe dining table that comfortably seats six people and provides two additional berths. The galley has a stainless double sink, two-burner propane stove/oven, a large top-opening refrigerator/freezer and ample cabinet storage.
There is reverse cycle (heating/cooling) air conditioning vented to the saloon, both cabins and the head. Ventilation is also provided through screened hatches and ports.
She is powered by a Yanmar 3YM30 diesel with 34 gallon fuel tank. The fuel burn rate at cruising speed is about .6 gal./hr. The original three-blade fixed prop has been replaced with a feathering Autoprop that variably adjusts the pitch under power to achieve maximum efficiency (increased speed, range and performance). A Side-Power bow thruster is installed for assistance in docking. There is an electric windlass for anchoring.
The electrical system has been enhanced by adding a 50 amp shore power charger, a 100 amp Balmar alternator with smart regulator, and AGM batteries. The starting battery is 870 CCA and the two house batteries provide 300 amp/hrs. for extended cruising range. The bow thruster has a dedicated AGM battery.
She s equipped with a furling main and furling 130% genoa. There is also a cruising spinnaker with a sock, which has been very lightly used. All sail control lines are led to the cockpit. There are twin helms (and rudders) to allow steering from the windward position for better visibility and control.
Other amenities include a full cockpit enclosure with roll-down screen panels, wood cockpit table, custom teak companion-way screens and Sunbrella fabric cockpit cushions. All exterior brightwork has been varnished and is in good condition.
Reprise is a one-owner, freshwater boat. Since purchase in 2012 she has been covered by Larsen Marine's Premium Maintenance Service Plan. Complete maintenance records are available. She is stored inside heated and is available for inspection at Larsen Marine in Waukegan.
