Hull: infusion sandwich for quickwork and topsides, with the use of vinylester resin for the first layers and DCPD resin. Deadrise 15°

Aft platform: integrated (upper part in deck, lower part in hull) and faced in teak with side bathing ladder and hot/cold shower
Forward area: carefully built with, on the starboard side, self draining anchor well and winch/chain system; the forepeak has two hatches for greater practicability and the whole mooring station is retractable to leave the deck clear. Two watertight hi-fi speakers with local control unit are hooked up to the on-board system to serve the forward sundeck which is equipped with closed cell PVC core cushions and handrails at the sides.
Cockpit: GRP sandwich with sole faced in teak; the dinette has two facing sofas and a central table which can be lowered manually to form a single horizontal sundeck or chaise longue. The cockpit is the continuation of the side walkways and the bridge, from which it is separated by a low stairway (where the hydraulic gangplank emerges), creating a single open-deck. One part is protected by the hardtop and the aft part by an electrically operated awning. Between the helm and the sofas, the galley is housed in a unit with grill, sink, fridge, drawers for dishes and cutlery and various storage spaces.
Helmsman's station: protected by a hardtop it is sporty and equipped with three chairs with foldaway seat. The console has a small wheel, electronic engine controls, Raymarine E120 W GPS/plotter, Raymarine Tridata System and autopilot, rev-counter, compass, engine oil and water temperature and pressure gauges, rudder angle indicator, flap and trim controls, fuel and fresh water level indicators.
Subdivision and features: the one cabin aboard is forward, full-beam and divided from the saloon by a sliding door. It is ventilated by two portholes and a hatch. Beneath the double bed with marine ply base there are two spacious lockers for baggage etc. At the sides, two wardrobes. As in the rest of the boat, artificial lighting is with ceiling fitted halogen lamps. The port side of the saloon is entirely occupied by a large standard furniture unit which may be used for storage or to house a small wine-cellar, microwave oven etc. On the opposite side there is a table, surrounded by a sofa and two poufs (with lockers beneath), that can be lowered to create a spare bed. Aft of the saloon on the starboard side, the bathroom with electric marine WC, shower with wooden draining board and a curtain retractable into a recess. The bathroom is equipped with lockers beneath the washbasin and two cupboards. The washbasin is set on a bamboo top and, in the absence of openings, there is an extractor fan.
Standard: teak in the cockpit, directional flashlight with remote control, transformable dinette table, air conditioning, sewage tank, navigational electronics with various Raymarine options, bow thruster, hull colour.
Seakeeping: Good. With a slight negative trim the Verve 36 maintains trim at speed even after the passage, moreover very gentle, of the most demanding waves
Rudder and flap response: immediate response, very narrow turns even at speed without skidding; the flaps were little used, the load was concentrated and fixed
Helmsman's station: sporty and comfortable with offshore style seats well protected by the hardtop
Visibility: good, with a glass windshield and complete visibility on the horizon
Manoeuvrability for berthing: good, with bow screw.
EVALUATION OF COMFORT AND FUNCTIONALITY
Deck: the walkaround concept is completed by the opening aft which creates continuity towards the platform and the sea. A conceptually sunny and casual boat, there are few obstacles between deck and water but she is very well protected with pulpit and pushpit, bulwarks and grab-rails throughout. The double sundeck forward is also protected by side handrails. The stowage space is considerable: lockers beneath the two external sofas, a central locker from which you also access the engine room, and two very spacious side lockers of almost 1 square metre each. We might say something about the ergonomics of the numerous handrails and of the tables designed with too many sharp corners, whereas the fine seats on the bridge are well made and functional. Cockpit: the dinette is intelligently designed to exploit the double sofa with central table also as an extra sundeck or chaise longue overlooking the sea, all of this with simple mechanical movements without electro-hydraulics. The aft platform (more than 3 square metres) has a bathing ladder at the side and access to the cockpit is protected by two low stainless steel gates. The aft mooring stations have been very carefully done, with tough, fixed stainless steel bitts and a trapdoor covering the whole space that can also be used for storing ropes. The cockpit covering is supplied partly by the projecting hardtop and, for the dinette, by a retractable electrically operated awning
Interiors: the owner's privacy is ensured by the separate cabin while the saloon with dinette means that you can eat in the evening, in bad weather or overcrowded places, refreshed by standard or tropical air conditioning. Rather special and interesting is the use of horizontally grained bamboo together with light-coloured fabrics to expand the spaces with an elegant and modern design
Passenger comfort: four people can eat and sleep on board (two in the cabin and two on the transformed sofa), with another guest berth available for spontaneous trips, though the approved capacity is 12 persons
Galley area: on an open like this one the galley can only be outdoors. Compact as it is in the central island, it is well equipped for breakfasts and other meals. There's even an icemaker. The microwave is below deck in the saloon unit
Bathroom: the bathroom has lockers and cupboards and the integrated shower unit is concealed in a space with a porthole. The electric WC is set fore and aft and may be uncomfortable with a heavy roll
Accessibility and functionality of the engine room: there is access from the hatch aft of the galley, but from here you can only make a visual check; for checking levels and for other interventions you must hydraulically raise the whole section of flooring beneath the dinette in order to operate in every recess. Well soundproofed, the engine room has a fine system of anti-infiltration gaskets
Electrical switchboard and system: the switchboard, on the port side of the companionway, is subdivided into two sections: the 230V one and the 12V one with switches for service/engine batteries and protection of all on-board appliances and digital instruments. Several magnetothermal switches control the various end-uses of the 230V line: battery charger, galley, fridge, sockets in the various areas etc. so you can switch from quay supply to generator, the latter being available in 3.5 or 5 kW. The Mase generator control unit is above the switchboard and, in a separate compartment, the Fusion on-board entertainment system, with two remote control stations on deck for the external speakers and iPod docking station, as well as for the saloon video
