Let’s list the items we’ve serviced and the craftsmanship we’ve put in, in September/October 2017:
The hull was sanded to zero before we applied barrier coating and two new layers of SeaJet 023 antifouling.
The propellers and rudders we’re taken off and underwent a glass pearl blasting treatment. The shafts were polished manually.
New sacrificial anodes were placed for both salt and fresh water, as the yacht is in fresh water.
Hull, superstructure, cockpit and fly-bridge are polished to new, then waxed for protection.
Minor scratches are fixed professionally with gel-coat, you won’t find any..
Galley worktop polished
Engine, generator and air-conditioning service.
Intercooler, heat-exchanger, engine anodes and shafts seals serviced/renewed.
I’ve sailed many yachts during my life and as a Sunseeker and all Italian yacht lover I’ve always looked with critical perspectives to yachts as Princess and Fairline, they sell great, but are built in very poor end-finishing quality. Sunseeker, Broom and just a few others keep up with d Italian standards, boats you just can throw into 15 feet waves without having your mind disturbed.
Princess is the worst, followed by Fairline, both yachts that have a name, but are followed with major gel-coat issues, you just can’t keep count of the millions of gel-coat cracks appearing due to age after 6 years. Then there is Sunseeker, Broom and some others, just flawless and there came the Sealine, in my case this stunning T50, no gelcoat issues.
