Built with a smooth riding deep-V hull that draws only 3.5ft. with a walk around cabin, the 290 Grand Slam Walkaround has the well earned Shamrock reputation of being heavily built, exceptionally strong, and a good looking boat that always makes heads turn when coming into port.
"Moon Dreams Too" is well equipped including recent upgrades and extra factory options with exceptional appeal to meet the demands of fishermen and cruisers alike. Her unusually large cockpit has comfortable coaming bolsters and features a rigging station with tackle storage, a score of rod holders and rod storage, a 38gal. livewell with a light, insulated fish box, fresh and sea water washdowns, aft bench seat, and a big fish transom door to the wide swim platform. Forward, her slightly raised bridge deck is covered by an oversized T-top with a full enclosure, two passenger seats plus the helmsman chair at the steering station to starboard.
Great fishing and superb evening cruises are what this boat is made for. Her fishing personality shows itself as a well laid out cockpit and she’s great in heavy weather handling due to her deep V hull. Her family cruising side is evident in her open spaces and generous seating as well as her spacious and accommodating interior with amenities such as air conditioning powered by the generator while away from the dock, complete galley, spacious standup shower, and berths for four. The stowaway dining table can be used for either having meals or playing board games during leisure times.
“Moon Dreams Too” is exceptionally clean and in perfect condition with many upgrades and factory options. She can be inexpensively trucked and a full survey was completed recently. Please see “Specifications” for a detailed list of her equipment that makes her a very capable bay and offshore boat with exceptional value.

The cockpit is large for a boat of this size with wide side decks, hand holds, and stainless steel railings making it safe and easy to go forward for anchoring and handling lines. The anchor platform has an electric windlass and a self-draining anchor locker for chain, anchor, and rode. A cushioned sunning spot is center-line in front of the windshield while just behind a 24in. deck hatch, and four opening ports provide plenty of light and ventilation below.
The helm console is to starboard with dual engine instrumentation, helmsman’s chair and opposite to port is the navigator’s chair mounted on the functionally designed tackle and bait station console complete with a bait sink and large storage locker below. The white Lexan(™) slider door closes off the spacious living accommodations, galley, and head compartment.
Down one step from the bridge deck the expansive self-draining cockpit includes a lighted live bait well, fish well with macerator, aft bench seating, and to port the transom door opens out to the wide swim platform. Rupp outriggers, numerous rod holders, and rod storage racks complete the fisherman’s needs while cushioned bolsters surround the cockpit add a generous measure to the crew’s comfort.
Below deck and down 3 steps to port the full length galley counter runs forward with a stainless steel sink, a large deep drawer and galleyware locker, a Princess single burner electric stove and under is a Norcold refrigerator with an ice compartment. Further aft, there is a large hanging locker with an Origo microwave on top. Opposite to starboard is the fully enclosed standup 6'3" head compartment with a mirrored vanity and sink with a Euro style shower and electric toilet. All the way forward is a double berth with storage below and amidship two single flip up over/under berths also with storage below. The stowaway dining table can be used for either having meals or playing board games during leisure times.
