You enter off the swim platform and through the transom door into the aft deck. Expansive with room for a crowd the aft deck is the perfect relaxation and entertainment area. On the swim platform is a unique davit system that allows the dingy to move forward and aft without launching so use of the platform becomes easy. There is also a BBQ grill mounted on a starboard side pedestal. The aft deck offers an aft settee facing forward with the port side opening to reveal the Crew Quarters. The quarters have twin berths and a shower, head and vanity combination. Unlikely to house a crew, the area is perfect for kids or a large storage area/pantry.
The aft deck is fully enclosed with new dark blue Sunbrella. The sole, side steps, and swim platform are teak. Along the port and starboard side are storage cabinets and the ladder up to the flybridge is along the port side. Centered a bit aft is the cockpit table with two leaves. Two folding teak chairs allow for additional seating. Two hatches in the sole offer access to the storage lazarette that also houses the generator in a sound shield and the other is access in the stand-up engine room.
Along the port and starboard sides are side steps with teak leading to the wide side decks. Wide and safe with high stations and stainless-steel handholds access to the bow is easy and safe. On the bow deck is a large sun pad with built-in cup holders and access to the anchor lockers, windlass and anchor.
Back at the aft deck you enter the salon through a sliding stainless-steel door. The fixed starboard door has a fold down upper window that allows that special El-fresco experience.
The salon is large and feels like a much larger vessel. Along the port side is a small settee and forward is an entertainment center with storage. To starboard is a large C-Shaped settee with a coffee table. Forward and to port is the steps up to the flybridge deck.
The bridge is expansive and offers a new full enclosure with dark blue Sunbrella, new seating upholstery and beautiful teak-look carpeting. Aft is a protected seating or lounging are and there are two large folding teak chairs for use. Along the port side and aft is the ladder down to the aft deck with a protective folding hatch. Starboard is a large L-Shaped settee with matching pillows. The helm seat is double and aft is a wet bar cabinet with stainless steel sink and water.
Helm instrumentation, gauges and navigation items are easily visible and within easy reach.
Back down the ladder and down a few steps you enter the galley area. Well laid out and fully functional the galley will please the onboard chef. Corian counter tops, stainless steel sink, (4) burner stove with convection oven and plenty of storage are ready for the chef. There is a large utility room under the steps that offers a washer/dryer combo, ice cooler style freezer chest and ample storage.
Back up the steps and to port is the large C-Shaped dinette with a high-low table. Across and to starboard is the lower helm with two seats and access to all instrumentation, navigation and controls. There is excellent visibility as well.
Forward and down five steps are the lower cabins. The port and starboard twin berth cabins are mirror images of each other and each twin berth can be converted to a queen with a filler centered cushion. Along the port side is the guest stateroom with full size circular shower stall and acrylic door, and a teak grated floor. The vanity offers a single molded sink and plenty of storage.
All the way forward is the master stateroom with a queen center-lined berth with storage drawers aft and a mirrored bulkhead forward. On the port and starboard side there are storage cabinets, cubbies storage areas and a shelf. To port is a large cabinet with hanging locker aft and shelf storage forward. To starboard is the entertainment center with TV and DVD player and a cabinet with storage shelves. A privacy door to starboard is the entrance into the en-suite head with molded vanity, Vacu-Flush toilet and a circular shower with acrylic door and teak grate. The master will enlighten your senses and you to relax in comfort and style.
No disappointments, CRICKETT has been nicely updated and shows like a much newer boat. Easy to see in New Bern, NC.
A unique galley down design enable the onboard chef to prepare and cook while underway yet continue to be part of the crowd easily communicating with the Captain and crew. The galley steps lift to reveal a large utility room complete with a washer/dryer an extra cooler type freezer and storage cabinets.
