This Robinhood 33 (Cape Dory) won't last. New to the market. Powered by a Yanmar 350 and equipped with a Northern Lights generator, CruiseAir AC. and much more. Includes Caribe inflatable.
The interior of Scrimshaw is richly finished in rubbed effect satin varnished teak. Contrasting white high pressure laminates are used in the galley and head areas giving Scrimshaw an open fresh feel. Varnished ash ceiling strips line the hull in the forward cabin. The cabin soles throughout are varnished teak and holly.
Upon entering the deckhouse through a sliding door to port, there is a cabinet to port for the electrical panels and other battery switches. A wide shelf is above with a custom two drawer unit. This area is helpful in mounting a TV and or lamp. The satellite TV wires are located here.
To starboard is a comfortable “L” settee which pulls out to make a double berth if desired. The settee is covered in beige ultra- leather in excellent condition. There is a free standing 30” teak hi-lo table for dinning or cocktails. Forward of the settee is the helm station with a folding seat which provides good access through a sliding door to the deck. The instruments and electronics are well laid out and visibility forward is excellent.
Forward on the port side is a pedestal “mate” chair that can be lowered to normal chair height. Forward of the chair is a chart table with storage and a liquor cabinet below. Aft of the chair is open with enough room for a folding chair or barrel chair. There are four sliding windows in the deck house all with screens. All windows have curtains. There are canvas covers for the windshield and sliding doors.
Going down three steps, the U shaped galley is to port. There is an open feel since the galley is open to the deckhouse, and is finished in white laminate accented by varnished teak. Going around the galley there is a double SS sink with a Sea Gull water filter. There is a large cabinet above and a microwave oven, and a cabinet under the sink. Sliders outboard on the port side offer storage for plates and cookware.
In front of the sliders is a large counter space with a hinged door opening up to a heavily insulated chest housing a Sea Frost holding plate refrigerator/freezer which is powered by a 110 compressor and a belt drive 12 volt compressor operating off the engine.
To the right of the fridge is access to a below counter storage bin. To the right and forward is a Force 10 three burner propane stove with oven and broiler with two large cabinets above and one below the stove. The galley is well thought out and very efficient for preparing meals, storing food and cookware.
An opening screened port and Hella 12 volt fan provides good ventilation in addition to the open overhead.
Opposite the galley is the head area. Again finished in white laminates and varnished trim, the area is well laid out with a marine toilet forward, vanity with sink and storage amidships. Aft is a separate shower with a large teak seat outboard. An opening overhead hatch and bronze screened port light provides adequate ventilation.
The stateroom is forward, separated by a teak door. To port is a 5 drawer bureau with counter space above and a storage cabinet outboard, room for a lamp and small items. To starboard is a hanging locker with a ventilated teak door with storage above.
The V berths are long and very wide; they have 5 inch foam mattresses with a 3 inch memory foam topper covered with custom form-fitted sheets. There is a lot of storage under the V berths along with a drawer and opening hatch on port and starboard. There are shelves running the whole length of the berths providing more storage. Above each berth are 12 volt reading lights with LED bulbs.
There are three screened opening portlights, port, forward and starboard along with an overhead hatch to provide great ventilation. The overhead hatch is provided with a sky screen which provides shade or a screen.
