Huge price reduction, situation has changed and seller says sell this boat!
Many boat ads claim that their boats are ready for cruising, this beautiful condition PDQ 36 is truly ready! The current owners have spent 2 years equipping her with everything to get her ready for long term cruising, but life changes preclude them from setting sail. This high performance, easy living, cruiser is truly ready to add groceries and throw off the lines!
PDQ is a Canadian manufacturer and stands for Performance, Dependability and Quality. This 1998 boat was developed with creativity, imagination and state of the art engineering. Even in a world with many new catamaran options, she is still a stunning high performance cruiser with an airy interior, generous entertaining area, a wonderful workshop/storage cabin, and two luxurious staterooms complete with queen-sized beds. With all lines led to the cockpit, she is ideal for singlehandling, perfect for family cruising, or two couples on a holiday. Under sail she easily and comfortably cruises at 8-9 knots, and her two 9.9 HP Yamaha outboards easily push her along at 6+ knots. This fine vessel has the hard top bimini that is strong enough to stand on and supports two 100 watt solar panels.
PDQ's are known for their construction quality, with solid fiberglass below the waterline, and above the waterline and all decks fiberglass cored with Klegacell or Corecell foam. All fiberglass is the finest quality tri-axial knitted fabric and vinylester resin that is vacuum bagged with vacuum assisted injection, reinforced in high stressed areas. PDQs match up or beat any catamarans constructed today!
These owners have installed a custom designed aluminum radar arch, 600 watts of solar panels, a wind generator, a portable Rainmaker Watermaker that will fill the water tanks in just a couple of hours, and an excellent Raymarine chartplotter/radar/AIS package that makes her as safe as you can be on a 36 foot boat. The maintenance and attention to detail on this PDQ has been exceptional!
Come see this boat soon, she won't be on the market long!

The exterior cockpit/living area has been well thought out and is extremely functional. The large, rigid bimini protects the cruiser while providing an easy working area for the most serious cruiser, and even the racer if you are so inclined. There are numerous storage areas for all the essential cruising gear.
Entry into the spacious, airy main cabin is through a full sized sliding door, and the interior is finished in cherry with ivory ultra-suede upholstery and a teak and holly cabin sole. The remarkably large curved seating area will comfortably seat 6, and with 6 cabin trunk hatches, ventilation is excellent. All hatches are provided with screens, and all windows have protective sunshades.
The galley down to port provides exceptional counter space, a 12V Adler Barber refrigerator/freezer, propane stove and oven (new 2014), double stainless steel sinks, microwave oven and excellent storage.
Aft of the galley is a unique workshop/storage area that will make long distance cruising a joy! Forward of the galley is a spacious double berth with ample storage areas.
The over-sized nav table with all circuit breakers, switches, nav equipment and radios within comfortable reach is located in the starboard hull down. Forward of the nav table is the second double berth and storage area. Aft is the over-sized head with sink, vanity and a very large shower stall with all acrylic doors for easy cleaning and use.
